    Duel by Annick Goutal

Duel Cologne for Men by Annick Goutal (2003) is a wonderful deep, smooth, citrus fragrance that works for a man or woman. It's composition is green Maté absolute, Paraguay petit grain, Iris root, leather and musk. It does not have tobacco as noted on some sites. The scents that stand out are; Mate' absolute and Paraguay petit grain. The rest blend to make this scent round and smooth. It envelopes one rather than attacks. Just lovely!

Petit Ange by Parfums de Nicolaï

My absolute, all time favorite! I bought it years ago in a long gone store in Santa Barbara, California. Then a few years ago I found it on an internet site. It is reasonably priced and it was news to me that it was marketed as a children's perfume. It has a very soft, smooth welcoming fragrance not unlike Annick Goutal's Le Chevrefeuille or Neroli. (Both I also love). It is not overly floral or citrus and not powdery. It is just a soft lovely scent. It does not change much from beginning to end and is, of coarse mild and not very strong or lasting, but that is part of it's charm. If you think of it being a lovely, fresh spring day in a location with soft breezes blowing off of the hillsides covered with newly blossoming wild plants and citrus trees, you have Petit Ange.
I love to put it on after a shower or spray it on my bed before I go to sleep. It always puts a smile on my face and pushes my cares away.

Calypso Violette by Calypso Christiane Celle

I love Violet! This scent is that of a strong woman wearing a Violet scent. It is not Spring like but good for making a statement. I love that it could be worn by a female or male, rare for a floral. It lasts fairly well although it is perfect for a strong scent. You can experience the strong initial impression but not worry that it will be overpowering for too long. Nice!

    Le Chèvrefeuille by Annick Goutal

    Date of creation : 2002
    Olfactory family: Floral
Composition: wild narcissus, a blade of lemon petit grain, fresh green notes, touch of jasmine

This is exactly what this scent smells like. You have to add in the magical touch of Camille Goutal, to Annick Goutals line of fragrance. All of AG's scents have some mystery ingrediant, perhaps it is the name, Annick Goutal, to all of thier scents. As with almost all of AG's women's perfumes, I find I have to wear it and go through the unfolding from beginning to end, of each journey of fragrance. The best way to imagine thier perfumes is as if they were music. There is a beginning, a middle and an end to each. If you are not looking for an experience through your fragrance, AG may not be for you. But if you are, be prepared for a beautiful journey.

I love the fresh, clean, airy feeling of Le Chèvrefeuille. I also enjoy the soft drydown as it slowly disappears like the sun going down on a breezy spring day with the flowers all in bloom.

    Passion by Annick Goutal

Tuberose and jasmine from Grasse blend with vanilla to create the warm and heady scent... ~Annick Goutal's ingrediant list
I first smelled this from the bottle and thought it smelled sort of peppery, bold and not very floral. It seemed to have that old fashioned smell that you are not sure if it smells good or not.
Was I ever wrong! I wonder how anyone can smell a scent from the bottle and have any idea of what it really smells like? After letting it settle on my skin, it completely changed.
This perfume is absolutely beautiful! I can see why it was Annicks' signature scent. It is just strong enough and the florals unfold perfectly. The tuberose does not have any of the sharp unpleasant side to it and it blends into the jasmine that also is soft and sweet without any of the jasmine sharpness. I don't really smell vanilla unless it is the holding scent that allows the Tuberose and Jasmine to blend smoothly. As with all of Annick Goutal's scents, that make me love thier whole line, there is a point that you can smell the trademark AG scent. It too passes through before getting to the final scent that lasts a while.
I enjoy scents that last just long enough, then you start to think, "its time to put more on". ~The sign of a truly good perfume!
