Pleasures by Estée Lauder
An attractive floral composition, et cetera, et cetera... yawn. I find that it lacks personality. I've heard it described as "a boring scent for boring women." Although I've known many interesting, dynamic women who were all about this fragrance in its heyday, it really did nothing to accentuate their uniqueness. On the plus side, it works with just about everyone's body chemistry, so it makes a good gift.

Todd Oldham by Todd Oldham
Yes, it's fruity, but not in that happy-fruity way... it's more like a dark, smoky, spicy anti-fruit carnality. Takes a strong personality to sport this one. It is quite heavy. Use sparingly.

Trésor (new) by Lancôme
An infinitely warm and womanly scent. Though there are no wine notes in this, the composition has a sweet wine-like smell to it - most people don't notice it until I point it out...

Hypnotic Poison by Christian Dior
How to describe this fragrance?... The name says it all. It's positively devilish. The bitter almond combined with jasmine gives it a pungent narcotic quality that squares off delightfully with the sweetness of vanilla. My only two gripes are that you can't smell it if you're standing more than six inches away, and some people detect nothing but vanilla in it. Still, it will always be my favorite perfume of all time 'in theory'.

Dior Addict by Christian Dior
Dark, spicy and uber-narcotic. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Miracle by Lancôme
It was a pretty, multi-faceted floral when I first bought it, but after a while the pepper or some other sharp note started making me nauseous - I mean literally, physically run-to-the-bathroom-to-heave nauseous. Strange, because I have an extraordinarily good stomach for perfume. I don't get any softness out of it, just a sharp, acrid, bitter, offensive stench. But I'll give it a neutral rating due to its initial appeal.

Kors by Michael Kors
Evocative is the key word here... this one always seems to bring back memories of a summer night in Mykonos, Greece. It's quite Mediterranean in feel, luxurious, sultry, warm and exotic... yes, maybe even a little heavy. The rich wine notes combined with the berries make it almost gourmand, but not quite. A unique scent full of character and style.

Pure Poison by Christian Dior
It's virginally enchanting. It's a straight floral, but something ever-so-slightly spicy/woody underneath unfolds after an hour or two. I call it the fairy bride perfume.

Full of life and passion. It's a young, colorful and energetic fragrance.
