Laudano Nero by Tiziana Terenzi

Starts like Mazzone´s Hard Leather, extreme dark, bold and smoky.
The circle of goth pagans is complete, the ritual begins. After a few minutes...boom, crash, bang, an intruder crashes the party.
The uninvited guest it´s the enemy of many frangrances especially for men´s scents. Some honey/gelee royale note comes along and turns the dark gothic ritual into the most ridiculous hobbit birthday party. What a disaster!
The magic is gone. The sun rises, flute music accords replace the incantation of the witches. My skin smells like honey and some resin.
But the unespected end it´s the mother of all surprises. The transformation is spectacular and tragic. The darkest scent I´ve smelled in the last five years degrades into a vanilla scent. After one hour smells 99,9% like Mancera´s Aoud Vanilla. A very good vanilla scent, I love it, but I was in to a goth pagan ritual not a sunny day in Auenland.

Oud Essentiel by Guerlain

Smoky leather perfect combined with a discrete rose note. After a while I can smell only the leather and after 8 hours it´s still there. This scent is, along with Cuir by Le Galion, the Holy Grail of the smoky, manly leather fragrances.
Cuir needs about 12 hours to settle down and show the main leather note, Guerlain Oud Essentiel does it after one hour and stays linear until the end of days. Nuclear projection and longevity. After 10 hours and a shower I can still smell it.

Cuir Sacré by Atelier Des Ors

I always knew that Knize Ten and Aramis Classic are Leather fragrances. Always knew, but that´s all. I could never smell leather in them.
Honestly, I lost my hope to find a fragrance that really smells like leather. Cuir Sacre was a blind buy.
First spray told me:"Hello, I´m a quality juice, refined and mysterious but I am not the Holy Grail"
After one hour I sniffed again the Poloshirt and...Oh Lord I saw the Light!...and smelled Leather! A brand new leather suitcase was under my nose. I´ve opened my was still my Polo but it smelled like noble, rich leather. Praise the Lord! The gold particles in the bottle are a nice gimmick, unnecessary imo, sometimes they precipitate on the skin or clothes.
The longevity is just amazing, the linear smell of leather after the drydown is ONE WEEK on the clothes.

Leather Blend by Davidoff

I need some imagination to detect the leather in it.
More amber and something else than leather.
Sample before buy. The sillage and lasting power are very good, 8 hours on the skin.

La Yuqawam pour Homme by Rasasi

I don´t know how Tom Ford´s Tuscany Leather smells like, but Rasasi is just amazing. It´s smoke and leather at their best and something that I´ve smelled in Narciso Rodriguez EdP for Him but far away to be such annyoing.

Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf

That nasty stuff called "Antidote" is forgiven and forgotten. SPICEBOMB is just amazing!
Gourmand at its best with a nostalgic note and some old school, warps me into the seventies when things were things and not some scams from china.
It is "La dolce vita" of frangrances, Angel Amen by Mugler should look over its shoulder, Spicebomb is coming!

7 de Loewe by Loewe

The negative reviews are like "first shoot, then ask". After drydown phase, 7 separates you from the pale-grey crowd. Says "I´m here" in an unusual, misterious, masculine and sexy way. Very long lasting too.

Altamir by Ted Lapidus

Great juice, no question. But I can smell 33% TL Pour Lui, 33% TL Black Soul, 33% TL pour Homme in it. The rest of 1% is new stuff. Longlasting, good sillage.

Carlo Corinto Rouge by Carlo Corinto

Way too arid and sharp. Unbalanced, doesn´t harmonize with the body, thumbs down.

Michael for Men by Michael Kors

Very simillar to Mont Blanc Exeptionell, weaker sillage and longevity. Nothing special about it. Boring, says nothing about the person that wearing it.

Giorgio for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills

Giorgio is the brother of Kouros.

Open by Roger & Gallet

Very simillar to Quorum by Antonio Puig. Clean, masculine, strong.

YSL pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent

Fresh but nothing special about it. Too much thyme I would say. After drydown smells like some desinfection substance DIMETHYL-CARBOXYMETHYLAMINE for example. I should sample it first.

L'Anarchiste by Caron

Smells like ...nothing? Cake where the baker forgot the salt? The bottle is unique, copper, very original.

Antidote by Viktor & Rolf

Agree with PorkFat, have to add that it smells also like a scented candles shop in Bombay...or Jambalaya or some similar city in India or Bangladesh. It´s my new toilette air-freshener.

Lapidus pour Homme by Ted Lapidus

Agree with the Gentlemen who said strong opening. The drydown is unreal, very powerfull and faceted. Best frangrance for a cold day. Best frangrance for smokers.Lasting-power is about 5 hours on my skin, 24 hours on clothes.
