Polo Black by Ralph Lauren

Aaaaahhhh... Polo Black, what can I say. On a coldish day with the wind this is incredible, like a chilled can of lilt, with the bubbles stroking the ice on the way up. In a warmish place, like the car, the office or my hidey hole this is more like rotting putrid (and very sweet) mango that gives you a splitting headache - as if you just had that for dessert. I was wearing polo blue today, and apart from the mango, they are virtually identical, but blue is much more subtle and just more pleasant in any setting. And a lot cheaper too!

Le Mâle by Jean Paul Gaultier

Doesn't suit me at all, this sweet vanilla perfume is just so strong and almost feminine. Such a strong presence can be created better and less obviously by other fragrances, my suggestion would be joop.

Very Irrésistible for Men by Givenchy

Very sweet and not too sickly. Reminds me of turkish delight, covered in chocolate. An absolute must.

Concentrée D'Orange Verte by Hermès

I was ever so slightly dissapointed with this, because in the attempt to make it last longer, I feel the freshness has been compromised slightly. Overall, still very worthwhile. ODV is my personal favorite of all time but this is better to wear because of the great longevity.

Eau de Cologne by Geo F Trumper

Excellent! This is definitely the ultimate cologne for the sofisticated man. Still a cologne novice, but I know enough to tell something cheap from something truly first-class. To me it evokes calm composed leadership.
