Rochas Man by Rochas

The fragrance that kept my girlfriend sniffin'. Rochas Man is similar to A*Men, but is not quite as different/harsh, not to mention this one is easier on the wallet. A must for anyone who digs the smell of chocolate and coffee, it truly does remind me of sipping a hot chocolate in a hip cafe.

Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin by Lolita Lempicka

Wow. Very unique stuff. The top notes are kind of fantasy invoking, which can be a drawback, but is a major plus for me. A friend of mine, who worked in a cigar store, told me that it reminded him of licorice and his favorite vanilla cigars. Girls tend to dig this fragrance, at least in my experience. Definately worth a shot.

Insensé Ultramarine by Givenchy

The only cologne I've ever been truly repulsed by. It truly smells more like rotting grapefruits than an aquatic-citrus scent. I don't know about the lasting power because I felt the need to eradicate all traces of this stuff from my body. Yuck.

The Dreamer by Versace

This may be the most intersting fragrances to me. First off, the package is one of the best I've seen, and the bottle is also cool looking. The fragrance itself took me quite a few testings. To be honest, I don't care for the top notes much, but I find myself continually smelling myself after application. Also, the amber in the drydown really comes out on me, making a WONDERFUL finish for the day. The lasting power is also quite strong. A winner in my book.

Burberry for Men by Burberry

While unique, it also seems a bit boring to me. To me, the scent smells great somedays, but can smell pretty synthetic to me, and at times reminds me of being sick for some reason. However, the smell seems to fit nicely on a cool, foggy, rainy day.

Weekend for Men by Burberry

Very nice casual scent. Reminds me of going out on a casual date/get together with friends on the weekend(hence the name). Can be overly citrusy, so be cautious of overapplication, but the ivy note blends nicely if applied correctly.

Live Jazz by Yves Saint Laurent

As already mentioned, a great scent for summer. Before I tried this cologne, I had difficulty wearing citrus, but the vanilla in the base that seems to come out the more i heat up makes a wonderful transition. Definately worth a try if you like either citrus or vanilla. Also non-offensive, as it seems to get no complaints from anyone I've met.

Laguna Homme by Salvador Dali

Wow! What a well crafted fragrance. The top seems to be a tropical fruity mix that conjures up images of a hot, secluded beach with white sand and crystal water with a hint of vanilla in the air. The drydown becomes heavy on a creamy vanilla. So perfect.

Bora Bora for Men by Liz Claiborne

Bland, generic scent that only seems appropriate for a young boy wanting to smell like something.

Pi by Givenchy

The first serious fragrance I've explored. It is rather sweet, but on myself I get an almost leathery vanilla instead of "girlie" vanilla. I would say this is a great fragrance for the 18-30 year old age group. Perfect scent to wear with a sweater on a cold winter night under a nice leather coat.

Blue Jeans by Versace

A nice sweet, but not sickly scent. Rather light, though can definately be offensive if overapplied. Also seems a bit feminine, but not in a bad way. I say go for it as it's quite cheap and I have found plenty of friends who like it.

Intuition for Men by Estée Lauder

Well after all the thumbs down, I have to say I disagree. I've receieved more compliments on this fragrance than any, and I can't get enough myself. I can't quite put my finger on what it smells like, but it does smell familiar, not Allure though. The biggest problem I have is the lasting power. It doesn't last NEARLY as long as it should. It's not very complex either, but still a fantastic scent IMO.

A*Men / Angel Men by Thierry Mugler

I think this is a great fragrance for the right person. I smelled it on a card in the store and thought it smelled great after a minute (the first 30 seconds seemed a bit "off"). Then tried it on myself and the same thing happened. However, a word of warning, in addition to being a love/hate fragrance, make sure it matches you. I know that while it smelled great, it didn't seem very "me" while I was wearing it, and I imagine it's similar for many people. Still a great fragrance overall though.
