parfums*PARFUMS Series 7 Sweet: Spicy Cocoa by Comme des Garçons
A true Gourmand scent. The opening smells almost exactly like orange-flavoured chocolate (for example by Marabou or Anton Berg). It's not an overly sweet chocolate note, more like dark chocolate. The spices kick in a little later. I can't figure out what spices they used, but I think I smell something like pepper and cardamom.
Maybe it's because of the synthetic ingredients, but to my nose there's no real development detectable. After the topnotes are gone, the fragrance stays the same for hours. Speaking of hours, the lasting power is quite good, considering that the scent is relatively subtle.
Another plus, the bottle looks extremely nice (and by nice I mean cheap and tacky, in a good way). A must have for CdG lovers, chocolate addicts and all who like gourmand fragrances.

Gaultier² by Jean Paul Gaultier
I'm really, really impressed! The first Gaultier fragrance I truly love. I can see the similarities to "Classique" but "Gaultier to the power of two" is sooo much better. Gone are the cloying floral notes of "Classique" and there isn't a trace of the the infamous "le male". It already smells great on a paper strip, but the tester bottle asks you to try it on your skin and that's the right thing to do. The fragrance smells incredibly good on skin. Masculine? Feminine? Who cares? It just smells great. If I didn't know that it's unisex, I would definitely have a problem to tell whether it's mens cologne or ladies perfume.
Two thumbs up. Especially for the clever packaging and for the fact that a designer brand released a massage oil to compliment the fragrance.

Very Irrésistible for Men by Givenchy
Never, ever, try this fragrance on paper. It smells simply horrible on paper. But it's absolutely amazing on skin. The opening is a bit sharp and pungent thanks to the strong grapefruit note. Although it's listed on the bottle, I can't detect the mint leaf note. The drydown is fantastic. VI has an unusual middle note composed of sesame and mocha (coffee). It smells a little like the sesame-oil I sometimes use for asian dishes and the coffee note reminds me of A*Men or Rochas Man. But the fragrance is no cheap A*Men rip-off or another variation of the gourmand theme. It has some of the qualities of a gourmand scent (edible notes like sesame and mocha but it's too green and woody to be a typical gourmand.
After about an hour, you can smell the basenotes. Definitely sweet but pleasant with a subtle woody touch. I have no idea what hazlenut wood smells like, but I don't think that there's a wood that smells like the drydown of VI. Not very natural but very good though.
The staying power is above average, good enough to last for six and more hours.
The bottle looks stylish and contemporary, the color of the bottle fades from green to black and the spray mechanism works good and looks great.
All in all a great, unusual scent. Very original, which is quite rare these days (at least when you look at recent "mainstream" scents).

No. 22 by Chanel
My current Chanel favourite. The topnotes remind me a lot of No.5. Almost the same aldehydes combined with the usual hesperides. The middlenotes are also very No.5ish. Flowery, powdery and soft. So what makes this scent special and why do I like to wear it? I love No.5 but it's one of the few scents that really smell "feminine" to me. It's the drydown of No.22. Soft, but spicy with a gorgeous incense note. Although not mentioned above, I think I smell a tender musk note which adds some depth to the fragrance.
The staying-power of this scent is simply amazing, and I'm talking about the EdT. Few shots will last the whole day and even longer. Typical Chanel quality.
The Basenotes Directory says it's a feminine fragrance, but I don't care. The drydown makes it suitable for men as well (O.k., for men who also like fragrances like A*Men or Rochas Man).

Chiemsee Two Man by Chiemsee
Very sweet, a little spicy and woodsy, unfortunately not very long lasting. Still a nice one.
Since Chiemsee Clothes are very expensive, I cannot understand why they have so cheap fragrances.
Could be a great scent if they'd used better ingredients.
Thumbs up, anyway

Ghost Man by Ghost
Ghost Man is a oriental, very sweet fragrance. It's almost a bit too sweet for a man's fragrance because it lacks the fresh or woody notes other fragrances like this have, i.e. A*men or Bvlgari Black. But if you don't mind the heavy sweetness of this one, this is a must-have. Especially for the winter. Unfortunately the fragrance does not last very long. At least on my skin

parfums*PARFUMS Series 6 Synthetic: Dry Clean by Comme des Garçons
Got it yesterday, and I totally love it. It's really like stepping into a laundry. I expected it to smell a little more ahem... "artsy-fartsy" due to it's notes like nail polish or ozone, but it's a very nice fragrance to wear throughout the day. Makes me feel comfortable, like wearing freshly dry cleaned clothes. Also good for spraying just a little bit in your closet...

Coriolan by Guerlain
What a pity that Guerlain decided to discontinue this great fragrance. It's still available at some very good perfumeries here in Germany but for how long? "Coriolan" is one of the few chypre fragrances that I really love. It's perfect for daytime and also for going out. I hope that there will be a relaunch sometime since it's hard to find a fragrance different from all the Armani and Davidoff-smell-alikes out there.

A*Men / Angel Men by Thierry Mugler
When I first smelled this, I thought it was the worst perfume a man could wear. But after a couple of weeks it became my favourite scent to wear on special occasions. I love the chocolate and cotton-candy notes combined with a subtle freshness. And, as mentioned before by other users, the ladies simply love A*men. I can understand any man who finds this one "too much" or "girlish" but I do think that everyone who likes "le male" or other powdery fragrances should give it a try.
