Wild Fern by Geo F Trumper

Something about Trumpers scents that makes them unique, maybe in this world of here today/gone tomorrow perfumes, Trumpers are still there, over 100 years later. There is something very English about this scent, maybe its the smell of an English country field, recently cut.

Allure Homme by Chanel

A 'young' fragrance, lacks the sophistication and maturity of Antaeus. It smells fruity and youthful, something you would smell at a nightclub. I was disappointed with Allure and tried so hard to like it.It warrants a thumbs down due to the fact one expects so much more from Chanel.

Chèvrefeuille Original by Creed

I purchased a bottle of chevrefeuille Original and wasn't impressed. Yeterday, I re-tried or 're-visited' it as the saying goes.Maybe it was the humid weather, maybe it was just me but this scent is hugely under-rated when compared amongst the other creed scents, of which I own 8 different scents.Maybe it's the name (people cannot easily translate the name) as people aren't too familiar with Honeysuckle,or maybe it's the plain , standard clear bottle. Either way, I am smitten with this stuff. It's just diferent from many of the other creed scents.

New West for Him by Aramis

I tried this out as my flat-mate was wearing it all the time. The babes just loved it and I gave it a whirl.Lo and behold my luck also changed for the better. I was a convert to this fragrance and wore it on informal evenings out in Hong Kong. Sadly it is increasingly hard to find and cheaper, more inferior but "in" fragrances with a bigger advertising budget now dominate its' place on the shelves. Do the bean-counters ever visit this website?

Piper Nigrum by Lorenzo Villoresi

Just received my sample of this intoxicating fragrance from Luscious Cargo.Trying to explain its' complex make-up is dificult as it 'metamorphises' itself over a period of time. It was applied at 830 and was still there are 2200. Needless to say a wondeful nose and well worth the money. A truly amazing scent.Lorenzo Viloressi has done it again.

Habit Rouge by Guerlain

Habit Rouge, so named after the monks who wear a red 'habit' should be applied with great care. The initial smell is omnipresent and potent. Wander around your room and give it a good 20-30 mins to allow its wonderous scent to permeate every facet of your skin then hit the town. Questions like "what's thats scent?" will abound. A truly classic fragrance that, sadly is not too well known amidst the sweet scents and fragrances one 'tends to pick up' at duty-free departure halls around the globe. All in all, a classic scent that, thankfully, will never go out of style.
