Lanvin L'Homme by Lanvin

Hmm... very nice; warm and clean, without being at all overpowering. Coworkers seem to love it too- One of the better colognes I've tried in recent years.

Carven Homme by Carven

This is one of the best cheap thrills colognes I have ever smelled- spicy, but not pushy about it, and with a slight sweet edge. If you're on a budget this would be the best way to smell good at minimal cost.

Yatagan by Caron

I come down solidly on the positive side on this one- woody, smoky, and (happily) completely w/o the celery-like scent others report. It is extreme, but in the best possible way

Joop! Homme by Joop!

I loved this many years ago, when I was young and apparently stupid. Under some weird influence, I tried it again recently, and had to drive around with the windows open for most of the afternoon, until I could get home and shower it off.

Sugar Cane by Demeter Fragrance Library

One of the few single-note fragrances that I truly love. Warm, not overly sweet, and with a slight darkness to it all. The only drawback is that it has no real staying power.

Euphoria by Calvin Klein

Cloying, synthetic, and completely without merit

Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune by Guerlain

Also one of my favorites- not at all a fruity scent on me; the vanilla andd patchouli manage to keep such tendencies in balance. Very warm, relaxing and just enough of a floral note to keep things interesting.

Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent

Though I can understand the controversy on this particular scent, I personally like it quite a bit, and my partner LOVES it on me. On me it goes a bit animalistic, but more clean, like fresh perspiration after a workout, combimned with a soapy, crisp note.

parfums*PARFUMS Series 2 Red: Sequoia by Comme des Garçons

everything I had hoped for in a wood-based scent- clean, multilayered, drying down to a soft, slightly more sweet scent. I get compliments every time I wear it

Luctor et Emergo by People of the Labyrinths

Just dreadful. I put it on, it smelled like Play-Doh.. waited hopefully for the drydown; it still smelled like Play-Doh, only it induced a hellish headache. The most over-rated scent I've come across recently.
