Michael for Men by Michael Kors

Nice rendition of an early 80s powerhouse frag. It's more on the darker side like Antaeus, yet sports a more modern approach than the latter.

Definitely suited for evening wear/special occasions.

Rive Gauche pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent

Sexy, dirty fragrance that is reminiscent of the powerhouse scents of the early 80s. If you feel that Antaeaus or Kouros are outdated go for this one. Very manly. People always ask me what I'm wearing.

Green Irish Tweed by Creed

Wow! By far one of the most sophisticated fresh fragrances around. Yes, it does share some similarities with Cool Water, yet comparing both would be the same as comparing a VW to a Mercedes or Rolls Royce...

If you're looking for a Creed "to start with" that is not unisex, go for this one, you'll not be disappointed. I have never had so many people ask me what scent I'm wearing, and yes, girls dig it too! ;-)

Two thumbs up!!!

Silver Shadow by Davidoff

Imagine a mix between Lacoste pour homme and Boss Bottles, then you'll arrive at Silver Shadow. Not bad for a fragrance and I'd prefer this one over each of the others, but I'd rather go for Chanel Allure for a scent of this type...

M7 Fresh by Yves Saint Laurent

The lighter version of M7 is a nice reinterpretation of the original scent, much lighter and thus wearable not only during summer time, but also at the office. Very versatile indeed. The lemony touch that it adds to the agarwood and oud is fantastic to say the least. I smell some of the finest ginger, and I highly appreciate it, although I'm normally not into gingery stuff. On the drydown it exposes the same intriguing notes as does the original M7, making it a high-class scent. I sometimes feel as if this scent could be deemed an original fragrance in its own right. If you like M7 you'll love this one, if the original was too heavy for you then try this one and you won't be disappointed! Whatever YSL does they never seem to get it wrong. In my view it's the best designer fragrance house in the market! If you want to stand out from the crowd then this is definitely one worth looking into. Two thumbs up!!!

Baldessarini by Baldessarini

I 've just tried this again after having gone through so many others recommended on the board, and I must say, this is THE BEST. My absolute, all-time favourite.
Try the "Eau de colgne concentrče" version of this, it just knocks you off your feet, strong, sophisticated and very manly. I always feel kind of like "James Bond" when I wear it :-)
The only let-down, if there is such a thing with this superb fragrance, is it's price. I pay € 65 for the above mentioned versioned. But then again it's worth every penny, and you can quote me on this.
Just remember when you go out to your local perfume store to forget the brand, forget that it is popular, forget the packaging and the marketing and only trust your nose an see how it works on your skin. For me it's pure magic! Two thumbs up!!!
