i picked this up on sale.. id never pay full price for something that i regard as a gimmick like this - but for $10 for a large bottle i figured hey, why not give it a try.
its pretty sweet, but not cloying. not everyones definition of a 'masculine' scent but nowhere near as sweet as joop!, for example. it smells 'pleasant'. average longevity on me.

suprisingly enough, my g/f and her female friends absolutely love this stuff... i strongly doubt thats because of the pheromones, and they just like the scent, but who knows? not a bad addition to your fragrance collection, but wait until you see it on sale.

Tuscany / Etruscan by Aramis

An excellent fall/winter classy semi-formal fragrance. Women seem to love this one as well.
As with all of Aramis' heavy fragrances, this one is very easy to overapply so go easy on the spritzes or it will easily become overpowering.
No doubt Aramis will discontinue this one soon as well (like Havana), given their track record. Whoever is in charge of their product department should be fired.

Aramis Life by Aramis

Not at all as bad as people make out - Aramis doesnt make bad scents. It is very light and citrusey, and lacks the depth and intensity of some of their other scents.
This is not necessarily a bad thing, however. Sometimes you need something light and uncomplicated to splash on for a day at the beach, lounging around on your deck in summer, etc. A very simple, casual fragrance.
Aramis is known for deep, intense fragrances like Havana and Tuscany... but this is actually a nice change.

Havana by Aramis

One of the greatest fragrances ever made, a shame it is discontinued (I dont know what Aramis is thinking).
Primarily sharp citrus topnotes, rum middle notes, and a tobacco drydown. The scent itself reminds me more of mediterranean europe, of a generation of slick well-groomed middle-aged european gents sitting around outside in summer by an orchard or vinyard drinking and smoking cigars. This scent to me is what my uncles, my father smelled like when I was a kid... but rather than smell 'old' it just smells elegant yet interesting, warm and familiar.
Be very careful when applying since it is very strong juice and easy to overapply. One spray should be more than enough, especially of the concentrated 'Reserva' edition.
I think you need to be at least 30 to pull this one off.

Havana Reserva by Aramis

Contrary to what many people are speculating, Reserva and Havana are not different scents at all. Havana Reserva is merely a concentrated edition of Havana. Any minimal differences in scent are due to the higher concentration.
Be very careful with this one - Havana itself was very easy to overapply and this one is even more so.
To the person who said that this was a 'toned down version of the original' - perhaps you either got a watered down counterfeit or need to smell them both together again. It is the exact opposite.
Other than that, any reviews of Havana apply to this one as well - so if you are trying to decide on this fragrance based on its reviews, go read all of the Havana ones.

By Man by Dolce & Gabbana

An excellent oriental fragrance, however this one is not for everyone, or for every occasion.
Women seem to really like it, and i agree that it makes a great clubbing/bar fragrance, but you have to be able to pull it off. Dont settle for just a tester card or a quick test, visit the store, spray it on and wear it all day to see if its really for you. Not one to buy blind.
My only true gripe is the quality of the bottles - the seal around the EdT cap leaks on mine, and I lost some fragrance. The shower gel (I purchased a gift set) is in a hard plastic bottle, I gently squeezed it because the gel didnt want to come out and the entire bottle burst open along the seams and I lost it all. Some poor design/QC choices there.

By Woman by Dolce & Gabbana

I strongly disagree with Sanzio, there is absolutely nothing even remotely fecal in this scent. Why anyone would want to wear a 'fecal' scent confounds me, and we almost didnt buy this based on his review.

A very seductive, sexy gourmand/oriental mix. I love this on my g/f, it is second only to Hypnotic Poison. Sexy and different enough to make an excellent evening scent, yet if discreetly applied a woman could easily get away with this for office wear. The flowery oriental topnotes dry down wonderfully to the vanilla and coffee basenotes.
I own the male version myself and see very little similarity between the two - so dont buy based on your experience with the other, you may love one and hate the other.

Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme by Dolce & Gabbana

A classic. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this one - women universally love it. It is deep and luxuriant, sexy yet inoffensive. Where sillage beasts from the 80s like kouros or drakkar scream loud, obnoxious, macho, unrefined and testosterone-charged masculinity, this speaks rather of an elegant, laid-back, seductive yet equally powerful masculinity instead.

Its only drawback was that in the 90s it was far too common - but it is less common these days and wearing it will definitely distinguish you (in a good way) from the aqua/soapy scents of this generation.

Hugo Dark Blue by Hugo Boss

This is very much like DK Men, which was an excellent, unique fragrance that is sadly discontinued. It is so much like DK Men that all of the scent-associated memories I had from that much-loved fragrance are triggered by Hugo Dark Blue as well.
A very warm fragrance which women universally love, with the elusive 'suede' note that made DK Men so unique. Since I cant get DK Men anymore this is the only substitute, and is great for fall and winter evenings. If you can find DK Men, however, then try the original instead.

The only drawback (to me anyway) is that it doesnt seem to last very long.. then again my g/f smells it on me 12 hours later so its probably my nose just getting used to it.

Boss Bottled by Hugo Boss

A very pleasant scent. The problem with it is that it is depressingly generic. If you want to smell like everyone else, you cant go wrong with this one.

Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent

It is clearly evident from the reviews that opinions on this scent are strongly divided between those who love it, and those who loathe it -- and liken it to feces, body odor, urine, semen, etc.

My point is, regardless whether or not *you* personally like it, why on earth would you risk wearing a scent that some people could (judging by the negative opinions on it) very likely mistake for bad hygeine or feces?

Sure, you may stumble upon a woman who absolutely adores it... but it is guaranteed that you will also cross paths with several who thinks youve soiled yourself or dont bathe. Thats not exactly the image I want to portray. There are many other scents that are attractive to women and wont be mistaken for anything so horrible - by anyone.
