Tom Ford for Men by Tom Ford
unbelievable. tom ford is simply a genius. buy if you have sampled any of his other creations such as rive gauche etc. although not a fan of m7 this shows the man's talent. sillage and longevity both very good.

St Johns Indian Gold by West Indies Bay Company
A warm, spicy fragrance which I've used for years that i learned about from my brother. This scent I can only describe as a close companion and friend that is there through thick and thin. I think through the years I have only smelled this on one other person and that kind of took away it's personal feel for me. Ive tried some of the best frags from some of the best houses and this one holds it's own on personality alone. Longevity is good but it is hard to find at the major online retailers.

Green Valley by Creed
I like green valley but just don't see the need if you own GIT. The drydown is more dry and green than GIT but the longevity is not as good and i would think it is not as versatile as GIT. If you prefer a more strictly regimented and purely green scent, Green Valley would be a better choice than GIT. GV is no doubt more unique than GIT. Creed quality as usual. I think I'll buy it.

Pi by Givenchy
One of the few sweet scents I like. It does smell edible much like a creme brulee but it is not cloying such as amen or other similar scents. Nice sweet vanilla note plus that addicting Benzoin. Women adore this one the most.

Envy for Men by Gucci
This is a very good frag and not expensive. Very comparable to floris santal but it lacks the quality of the superior scent from the U.K. Floris santal seems to be richer and creamier. What this lacks in quality in makes up for in sillage and longevity. In my mind a versatile woody oriental to try because it just smells good and not as overexposed as say acqua di gio or dolce & gabbana etc.

Platinum Égoïste by Chanel
For all the hoopla I was severely dissapointed. Too smoky and synthetic smelling but it does have typical chanel longevity. I think I know why so many people think this is so great - they all smoke cigarettes because that is what it smells like. Too much smoke and B.O. dominating this concotion.

Allure Homme by Chanel
Sweet, warm, rich an inviting scent that I keep turning back to during the fall/winter/spring months. This one just lasts and lasts. Much better than Platinum Egoiste. Makes me want to try Allure Homme Sport.

M7 by Yves Saint Laurent
I would agree with the root beer comparison (without the sweetness). I would agree with the zen temple/peaceful comparision as well. What I don't agree with is that this is a great scent. This one is just to weird. I don't think it smells that good for it's great rating. Since I don't believe any of my other scents have agarwood in the mix, it may be my dislike of that particular note. IMO, try before you buy.

Epicéa by Creed
Reminds me much of the pine forests in Norcal that I visited as a kid. The same forests that I first got drunk in with 151 bacardi when I was in Jr. High. Stumbling around the forests in Paradise, CA in the day. This brings it all back in more mature, refined fashion but it was a helluva trip and worth remembering. Quality pine scent but the sillage is an issue with this one

Erolfa by Creed
Let me say that this is nothing like M.I. For one, the opening is as others have noted salty, sweaty and much more masculine as opposed to M.I.'s fruity opening. There are some similar notes but the idea that they are much alike is misguided. A fantastic aquatic scent that really does mimic the qualities of the ocean.

Chrome by Azzaro
Very solid scent that some of my co-workers wear on a regular basis. Would especially use at the office because of it's clean floral accord

L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme by Issey Miyake
OK but not as great as advertised. This is not aristocratic Acqua di gio. Acqua di gio is aristocratic Issey Miyake - lets get that straight. It seems that IM has some annoying notes that ADG doesn't. The better, simpler scent wins because of what it doesn't have. Less is more in this case. Couldnt decide between up and neutral so it's neutral

Acqua di Giò pour Homme by Giorgio Armani
Too commonplace but man does it smell good. I think most of the criticism is unjustified. A solid, clean summer scent that doesn't scream for attention. I would agree that the white musk in base makes this good. If you haven't tried this before then give it a shot and see what YOU think.

A*Men / Angel Men by Thierry Mugler
Yes, the ladies do love this one. It is just too sweet and cloying for my style. Women do think this is a masculine frag and they insist they can tell the diff. Perhaps this is proof of a woman's keener sense of smell but I dont care. For me to wear anything, I have to like it very much.

Bulgari pour Homme by Bulgari
Fresh, clean and no caffeine. A rather subtle, unimposing, muted version of teas bags brought to scent. Not for the bold or loud but for the classy and low-key. I like it but not that much and the longevity sucks - it's gone in few hours. OK but not my bag of tea. Might have worked for the Boston Tea Party. Tea for two, you be the judge

Animale Animale for Men by Animale Parfums
Better than Amen and much less expensive without that cloying sweetness that Amen is renowned for. This is the type of scent you will love or hate depending on your opinion of gourmands in general. I find it unique and pleasant if not oversprayed. Don't purchase this blind.

Unforgivable by Sean John
A blatant ripoff of Creeds MI which I don't like any way. Why dont these rich wannabes get a life. This reminds me of my friends Uncle who invented the first computerized drafting machine only to find a few years later it was ripped off except for a few different bolts in another place on the machine. He won a lawsuit and I think Creed might to but I'm sure Olivier understands this is a sincere form of flattery. Stick to music SeanJOhn.

Eau de Santal by Floris
I bought this on Ebay pretty cheap on MMM's advice (review) and wasn't dissapointed. This is a very high quality scent much like Envy but of much higher quality with less longevity. I seem to be finding that many of the higher end british scents exude quality but lack the longevity of their comparable counterparts from France et al. I would put this on my top 10 list especially if you can pick it up inexpensively. Very special.

Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme by Dolce & Gabbana
One of the best citrus scents out there that will garner compliments from men and women regularly. On my top 5 list and that includes Diors, Chanels, Creeds etc. At the price, you gotta get this one. Unless you hate citrus openings you can't go wrong here.

Green Irish Tweed by Creed
This blows Curve and Cool Water away. The quality is just so much better and the green opening and superb drydown make this one of the most versatile frags out there. The sillage and longevity are very good and almost as good as BDP. If green is your thing then try this one.

Acier Aluminium by Creed
Most of the previous reviewers have said it well enough - seductive, unique, underrated even plutonian. All are correct and may I add that this is the definition of a "night out" scent. Most women find this irresistible and few men wear it or know of it. Fantastic drydown. Try it - few do and this may be the best reason to.

Himalaya by Creed
Clean and crisp done right. Creed quality through and through but I wished it lasted longer.

Millésime Impérial by Creed
Being partial to more masculine frags, I couldn't get into this one. The typical Creed quality is there but this is just to fruity and unisex for my taste. If you like more green, clean or masculine try GIT, Himalaya or BDP. For a night out try Acier Alumimum. I enjoy many Creed scents and respect their quality but dont' buy this blind.

Bois du Portugal by Creed
This is on my top 5 list and probably will be on yours if you enjoy dry woods and spices in a masculine way because nothing I have smelled does it better than this juice. Sillage and longevity are excellent and I seem to get compliments from both men and women. The only negative (if you want to call it that)is my former gf thought it smelled "old" but even she liked it. Nothing but quality here folks. The John Wayne of men's fragrances. It has few peers.

Eternity for Men by Calvin Klein
Overused and not the most original creation but isn't that the fate of most good smelling, affordable scents these days. A grudging thumbs up but watch the trigger as many have warned.
