Rive Gauche pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent

After the disappointment of L'Homme I reached back for the Rive Gauche to reassure myself how good a YSL fragrance can be. Warm yet fresh, the topnotes are brilliant and it lasts beautifully. A top five and no mistake!

Trussardi Uomo by Trussardi

Picked this up today in Boots for under a tenner! Wow! This is an 80s blast and no mistake...Direct manly stuff (in a good way)...Reminds me a little of Givenchy Gentleman - patchouli, I guess - and a little of Antaeus. Out to stock up tomorrow!

Vetiver by Guerlain

Think I must be missing something! Bought this frag on the back of great reviews and a love of Habit Rouge...but it just doesn't do it for me! The citrus is too harsh and 'spiky' somehow. Ah well, can't win 'em all.

Paul Smith London for Men by Paul Smith

To me this smells confident and upfront! It lasts forever (on me, anyway). I love the violet and booze mix...more Jack Daniels than Brandy in my opinion. Beats previous PS fragrances by a country mile.

L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent

I'm a novice in fragrance terms but I tried this today and was distinctly underwhelmed. Not unpleasant by any means, but nothing special. A little D&G ish perhaps...inoffensive but I wouldn't shell out for it! (Bottle's cool, though)
