    Baghari by Robert Piguet

what a joy and what a pleasure- one of another great perfumes by robert piguet is back!great job has been done !the opening of this orange chypre! is sensational-what an explosion-this is great symphony, a real masterpiece and the responsable of the restoration has done a perfect work-congratulations!It is a spicy, warm, sensual fruity and aldehydic perfume-to me it´s fresh chypre, becoming a dark warm and powdery scent but never losing it´s complexity specially the chypre fresh note-superb and perfect composition. It´s sophisticated , unique, elegant and a really hors concours- a true masterpiece- a jewel ! It reminds me of the grat guerlain perfumes-this is an example of great parfumery-and definitely outstanding!I am so glad that piguet is back and someone like A.Guichard is able to restore this masterpiece autentically. This is smething for connaisseurs! And try bandit-another restored masterpiece.......................

everything has been said-this is a pure and intense soapy powdery scent-a barbershop as it´s best-a boring scent, nothing special, unique , surprising or exciting.

    Halston 1-12 by Halston

Halston a great american designer launches in the seventies two scents that are both unique and very special.Z-12 has a great opening- fresh, crispy, aromatic, developping right from the beginning a great flavour-it´s an intense, bright and loud perfume-not decent, not quiet-this is Halston as it´s best-a special masculine cologne- but a typical man´s scent of the seventies and to my mind not timeless.Pure oppulence, powerful, warm.musk, amber, vanilla-evrything put togetherbetter said thrown together and waiting for the explosion- this is studio 54 ,a heavy, intense and dark EdT-I loved the opening because it´s very interesting but the more you experience this scent the more you want to get rid of because this is not mozart -this is strawinsky , bartok and schoenberg at the same time....I felt thrown back into the 70ties- I didn´t have the feeling to experience a timeless and eternal perfume like eau sauvage, azarro por homme, pour monsieur by chanel or the original vetiver by guerlain-This was not cuir de russie, a really luxurious scent and monument of classical perfumery-Z1-12 is crazy, freaky and from a different time.I personally prefer more decent, quiet scents -the classical icons of the perfume history.Halston is definitely interesting but too much -and Halston was the same: a great designer but living on the edge, very intensively, loud, crazy, risky....- unique and very special! I would love if we would have more of these people today!

    Eau d'Hadrien by Annick Goutal

there are better citrus scents as this one.this is pure lemon and citrus-too intense with no staying power!very boring , simple and nothing special- go for eau sauvage ir yves saint laurent pour homme if you´re looking for a classical citrus summer scent or monsieur de givenchy but eau d´hadrien is a total waste of money-one of he most uninteresting scents ever made-lemon pure that lasts for 2 hours - if this scent is discontinued noone would miss it!By a cleaner at a drugstore and you get the same but for less money ..........................

    New York by Nicolaï

Orange-Amber- very intense, sweet and dominating. As it has been said it´s very guerlain and it remains you of all these old, dated perfumes like muchoir de monsieur , heritage etc-warm, too warm and sensual, full of vanilla and too powdery. And what I disliked most is the the remaining huge and intense cloud of perfume that stays and comes again and again.............it remains me too of these old ladies perfumes or for an old boring , grey haired man!- heavy oriental und too much flavour !INothing special, unique, timeless or outstanding- simply an EdT-not luxurious, not special.Very disappointing! And I swear you-this is definitely not New York-you all know wht´s New York about!

    Vetyver / Vétiver by Givenchy

Hopefully this is the original version of 1959!Congratulations to Givenchy that they they dare launching this very unique and special scent being really different from what is launched in general and absolutely not the mainstream!Very decent, discret and sophisticated and even unique vetiver.A gentleman´s choice!I prefer this vetiver instead of guerlain´s because this one is fresh, clean and minimalistic. Thanks god no vanilla !In comparison to guerlain´s vetiver this one is not so warm, not so intense strong and sensual- it is a very clear, a bit harsh and bitter- maybe spicy and herbal vetiver and you never have the impression that it becomes too intense and to dominating! To me it is the best vetiver I have smelled so far!

    Knize Ten by Knize

This is a classical, distinguished and elegant gentleman´s scent for an older person. The start of the this scent is amazing-an opening of citrus-orange, quite fresh and crispy and the drydown is leather-tobacco, what you feel already at the beginning but within the time it becomes the dominating overall aroma.Very warm and sensual!Very well composed and very well put togehter but it lasts for hours and is very intense. And it has a powdery touch full of vanilla what i personally dislike. This is a unique, man´s scent but this perfume is of another time- well it has been launched 1925!But in comparison to chanel´s cuir de russie or no.5 two great scents of that time, this one smells a bit dated and a bit daddylike. It´s not timeless because you feel wearing it another century, another time -the world of the k&k austrian monarchy.....As it has been already mentionned -be careful using it because it is very intense-only a few spritzer!I personally dislike the dominating vanilla-powdery note and if you really want to feel a great perfume full of luxury and greatness then try bandit by piguet or cuir de russie or JHL by Lauder or even givenchy´s III- they make you dream of so much more and you feel wrapped in a touch of perfume- as a windbreeze always around you...........Knize ten is definitely a very good and outstanding scent but not the olymp of perfumemaking-try also guerlain´s perfumes!

Beyond Paradise for Men by Estée Lauder

the words are missing, so disappointing the experience has been!according to luca turin this is an A-class scent- i definitely cannot agree and as it has been already said the biggest waste of money and one of the worst perfumes i ever smelled!A cheap fruit basket on the lowest level- a simple mixture of tropical fruits.....very sweet, disturbing, badly mixed up, very chemical and artificial melange and as it has been aready said-at the certain point the scent becomes exhausting, unpleasant and nerving, almost causing headaches. There comes the point when you can´t smell it anymore! This one of the worst and most horrible perfumes I have ever bought!Really awful and bad!
It is so sad because this company has produced such great scents as Lauder for men,JHL and do not forget Private cllection,Alliage, Youth Dew-masterpieces!What is happening to this company? If Estee Lauder knew.........................

    Équipage by Hermès

Equipage is a smoky leather scent, very well composed by Guy Robert.Masculine, elegant, decent, not loud-a fine gentleman´s perfume.Equipage is for an elder gentleman.Soft, warm and powdery. It lacks a bit modernity and feels a bit dated.Although interesting and singular, not a masterpiece but recommended. Not timeless, but somehow unique. Not exciting or daring but solid and classic.Still you feel, there is missing something......................

    Halston Z-14 by Halston

Z-14 is to my ópinion a typical 70ties scent- powerfull, loud, dominating. This scent reflects Halston´s lifestyle. The scent is a warm, aromatic and spicy.Too intense and dominating, too harsh and wild. This is a masculine fragrance but typical 70ties.It stays too powerful and reminds too present. Here I am and here I come - not a refined, decent and elegant masculine scent (certainly not wanted)and a timeless perfume- no ! this is a very strong smelling edt - come on lets have a party in studio 54.Somehow it is unique and reminds me of bel ami by hermes and devin of aramis(a launch in the seventies too). What I definitely appreciate is the fact, that this is Halston!pure Halston!you will recognize it among all the perfumes because it´s special.this is a very present and dominating scent for a man but be careful and use it in small doses because it has so much power and lasts so long! And what I like too- it belongs to a time when perfumes where still created and had personality!not as nowadays when all smells the same and male scents smell as girls perfumes!

    Vétiver by Creed

first I thought -wow what a scent but unfortunately I have to revise my opinion about this fragrance.
    It opens quite delightful : fresh,fruity-elegant , classy and sophisiticated.old school´s scent.1948!
The problem for me was and is the drydown. It ends as a soapy, sweet, very soft and creamy scent.Somehow floral and what I personally miss is the smell of vetiver.
I had tested the wonderful and outstanding vetiver by guerlain, the good vetiver by annik goutal, the interesting (smoky!)vetiver by etro and the fascinating vetiver by givenchy. These were and are the benchmarks.
But Vetiver by Creed is not a vetiver in the proper meaning of the word- you don´t smell it and what is offered is a good scent lacking the character and personalitiy.
This fragrance is a nice and lovely - you can wear it everyday, at any time but it´s faceless and boring- there is nothing exciting , alluring or challenging about it- it´s impersonal but on a high level!I prefer scents with rough edges- all the mentionned vetivers are edgy and have a high recognition value, specially the vetiver by guerlain which is a real vetiver.
As it has been said :this fragrance is loved by young congressmen of the white house.....any questions?!

what a cheap and bad smelling ordinary cologne......keeping in mind that lancome, this really great and famous company launched fragrances like balafre, sikkim, climat, tresor, sagamore etc.hypnose does not let you dream and ask for more....as cuir de russie and bois des iles.....perfumes that have a unique, special and refined smell....hypnose is sharp, loud and dominating and a stinking water.....quickly it starts to nerve and cause nauseas.definitely a no go!

    Armani Attitude by Giorgio Armani

Armani-refined,distinguished classical italian clothes....great stuff in the 80ties.....even his first male fragrance in this very unique bottle....

two decades later this grandseigneur of italian fashion launches one of the worst perfumes i ever smelled! Not worth the price!

a beautiful, virile bottle!and a good advertising campaign but who the hell(sorry)was in charge of the fragrance composition?the opening , quite woody and fresh ends up in a sweet stinking water...a huge lack of quality!very vulgar and ordinary and i cannot loose the impression that i have smelled it a thousand times before.....e.g.B-man,escada etc.etc.is this the sell-out and sale of armani?as it has been mentionned before-armani prive´ and his furniture line are still great works-so what is happening to the perfumes?attitude-by the way the handling of the botle can become nerving-is so boring and uninteresting and it does definitely not make dream of more and longing for more....

    Blenheim Bouquet by Penhaligon's

blenheim bouquet is a very traditional, conservative and aristocratic fragrance.Fresh, light and clean edt.Decent, elegant but formal. The opening is fresh-you may smell lavendar, pines and lemons -all in a pleasant way.The drydown is in my eyes too medical-you may have the sensation that it smells like in lab or a dentist´s office but not uncomfortable-interesting and special-definitely unique! not very longlasting.anyway this is a very interesting and well done scent-timeless and you will never make a mistake wearing it-it is a distinguished scent with the touch of nobility and sophistication .this green fragrance is definitely better than all other green fragrances on the market. do not expect a loud, dominating and intruding fragrance-this scent knows absolutely it´s superiority.this is definitely upper class and does not have to show off.great and fantastic scent-that has everything -style,class, character and masculinity.i appreciate that they haven´t change the bottle since the first launch and the bottle and package is wonderful too.this is absolutely the top of perfumes.oh, one little remark-hammam bouquet is so gorgeous and outstanding too!!!

    Encre Noire by Lalique

lalique better known for their outstanding art works-they created f.e. the flacon for nina ricci´s air du temps must have realized one day that launching a perfume is the key to more money. But lalique is definitely not chanel, caron or guerlain!and the great times of outstanding perfumes are over or have you ever found in 2006 something comparable to cuir de russie, tabac blonde, bandit, jolie madame, quadrille etc.etc.???anyway encre noir is presented in a minimalistic nice bottle and the opening of this scent reminds me of comme de carcons pour homme, gucci pour homme-again a perfume similar to what´s already on the market and successful.again a fragrance that is not unique or special-the typical strategy of the century-i am producing a scent that has to and will be sold!
Encre noir is aromatic, warm and sensual but with a little fresh note ( vetiver)-the feeling of a woody aromatic note mixed up with the fresh and lighter vetiver is nice-one one hand a warm and smooth and on the other hand fresh. The scent reminds me of the smell in a church.....the opening is really promising but the drydown isn´t anymore-the scent is nice and ok but doen´t make you dream or want more.....if you really want more, you wanna feel inspired, seduced then you should have a look a the already above mentinned perfumes.encre noir by lalique is a nice eau de toilette-not less not more and aren´t we all nice??!!
