    Zino Davidoff by Davidoff

comparing all the fragrances launched by this cigarettes and cigars company i would agree to zztopps review-still the best offering.nothing special but ok-not a work from a grat parfumeur but ok.If you look for a really well composed scent you have to go for works by roudnitska, polge, cellier or beaux-they were really great -and if you really wanna smell a good perfume:go for caron, chanel, estee lauder, carven, piguet, balmain, guerlain etc.but leave your fingers away from the cool water cigars company-what a shame......

    Vetiver by Guerlain

It may be a very classical scent but Vetiver of guerlain is too much vetiver-too green, too intense, too strong-and within the time it becomes worse, and on some people it stinks like an old soap-be careful and take a sample home and test it-you may feel comfortable with it but try it first in very small doses-Vetiver of guerlain is very harsh and too spicy. The opening still may be nice but the drydown is somehow hard, nerving and you want to get rid immediately of this scent.
To my opinion a perfume, a good perfume should be around you like a wind breeze-you feel the scent, you smell the scent -well balanced ingredients, nicely put togehter and composed and the perfume should accompany you but silently-Vetiver is loud and nerving and always infront of you and never around you....if you love vetiver try carven( see above)or annick goutal-definitely better balanced and finer....

    Happy for Men by Clinique

very simple, ordinary and light water that stinks....happy?no sad!you can use it as a room spray or to clean the closet-but please do not use it as a perfume!please not!I don´t know what attitude they have-i mean clinique is a great company ,they launched great skin care and now they need to launch a perfume to make more profit but then ladies and gentlemen develop please a good perfume! This one is stinking water of oranges-a basket of a million bad oranges....ladies and gentlemen take the eau imperiale by guerlain if you seek for a cologne-this is a great fresh, clean and nice perfume!and clinique you have a second and last chance-to make a better one!aromatics elixir and wrappings are such nice perfumes-but what happened with happy????

    Good Life by Davidoff

nice botlle design but the content of the bottle is a huge deception but i wasn´t expecting a miracle after cool water and the rest.....to my opnion davidoff were successful with smoking goods and they thought-oh, let´s make a perfume....and it ends up in a desaster! What a bad perfume-stinking , bad tasting water......Ken Russell has said all!

Eau de Cologne Impériale by Guerlain

fresh, light and easy going.Simple but delightful. It does not last very long-spray as much as you can.....you will never have the feeling of being too much-tasteful, classical and very nice-a cologne for all day use whereever and wheneveryou want!Very well composed! In comparison to all the so called eau´s and colognes of the last years this one is really a cologne and on top a timeless and distinguished one!Great work of Guerlain!

    Bois des Îles by Chanel

another really great perfume-yes this is such a loveable, fantastic and uncomparable perfume-this is classical chanel.Hors concours-very well balanced, the ingredients perfectly mixed and put together-from the opening to the drydown you feel like in heaven! It is so difficult to explain what you feel when you spray it for the first time.....floral,woody,a bit spicy....and so enjoyeable and comfortable-Whatever you take from Chanel-this is hot perfumery and on a high high level!Congratulations for the relaunch-Bois des iles is a unisex perfume-very exquisit and luxurious!

    No. 22 by Chanel

Well, there is not much left to say-great classical and unique scent-it may remind you of chanel 5 but i like this one more-it can be used by a man too(it has been already mentionned)specially when you are a real man-brown and dark and handsome with a classical attitude-it is a fine, distinguished, uptown scent-spicy,aldehydic,floral,a bit softness but evrything perfectly composed-a perfume as it should be and to my opinion better than nr.5!But Chanel is nothing for a vulgar, ordinary and simple person(sorry)chanel is for a classical, charismatic, good looking and sexy person!

    Dzing! by L'Artisan Parfumeur

there has been already said a lot.....
interesting opening that ends in hell-bad leather scent-disgusting,stinky and nerving! If you really wanna smell leather then choose cuir de russie of chanel or bandit by piguet-but dzing is dzing-what a poor name...very sad and boring water....this is definitely not a perfume......

    Eau d'Hermès by Hermès

These were still times.....the great Edmond Roudnitska probably had the freedom to create whatever he had in mind-independent from marketing strategies etc. This great artist demonstrates once again his class and high standard:Eau d`Hermes is a warm, spicy, rich flavoured perfume-as it has been said-a bit powdery, soft and sweet. It reminds me of JHL of Lauder: distinguished, classy and longlasting and powerful.Mr. Roudnitska-have a look at all the other great perfumes he created-leaves us a tasteful and perfectly composed eau-it has been launched in 1951 but this one will last for ever and keep it´s class forever-it does not smell dated or old-it is timeless. But!!!do not take to much-the more you take it can become very intense and exhausting and nerving! It is a very rich and intense perfume that may change as it has been already described-a few drops-not more! The sad thing is that even hermes is slowly losing it´s exclusiveness and luxury-hermes was alway still very, very special but unfortunately hermes is beeing copied allover the world and have a look at market places or bazars specially in asia....sad...if you are seeking a special perfume that may give you the feeling of being the only one wearing it then have a look at the great relaunches of chanel( for example)......

Number 3 / Le 3me Homme / The Third Man by Caron

another really and fascinating scent-a perfect composition where all notes match very well together:it starts a bit spicy and it becomes woody and a bit herbal and then maybe a touch floral-at the beginning you have the feeling not to know where it will end-quite exciting but after a time you can´t stop smelling this superbe fragrance-elegant and discret and never going on your nerves!very well done!

    Terre d'Hermès by Hermès

Hermes-a world of refined luxury and sophistication.Great scents like Derby and Bel ami and now this!?Terre d´hermes-nice advertising, very promising is a simple and vulgar fruit basket-orange and grapefruit, sour smell-it does not dry down to my opinion-it stinks the whole day and badly! It´s spicy and sweet, superficial and simple but on a high level.Again a huge deception-i mean l´eau d´hermes was a great work, the same as the first female scents but Terre d´hermes is a deep deception.Ellenas composition ends up in a chaos and mass!A perfume this is chanel ( cuir de russie), tabac blond(caron), A-man(Mugler)etc. But Terre d´hermes is a disappointment on a high level but the bottle is nice.At least one point!

YSL pour Homme Haute Concentration by Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent-unforgettable and outstanding fashion designer-hors concours!Spohisticated and classic! In comparison to Rive gauche and Y for women(grat, awsome perfumes!)YSL pour homme is lemon and citrus, badly, mixed pure!Harsh and to much lemon-no dry down-it stays too hard and strong all the time...Anyway, a very interesting scent-very fresh and light and citrus-nothing more.Squeeze some lemons on you and it is YSL pour homme but cheaper....For women he has done such a grat work but men have been neglected....sad!

    Mouchoir de Monsieur by Guerlain

One of Guerlains great compositions-soft,warm,powdry but a smell of the last century. To my opinion it is dated and it´s an old gentleman´s scent.Something for elderly and mature men...
    Very decent, distinguished and sublime.
But to me to boring....It is not the inmortal scent that lasts for eternity-if you think of tabac blond, cuir de russie, bandit, chanel5-these are the scents that will -even used in 2006-be actual.Do not misunderstand me -muchoir de monsieur is a grat scent but of another century and world.Even Jicky and Mitsouko (what a great perfume)do not smell so dated but as I´ve said this perfume is a milestone in the history perfume and will remain a grat scent forever but......And for all the designer of 2006 : take an example: this is perfume making on a high, high level!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the great scents of the last decades!Special, unique ! Outstanding! But only a few drops!Do not exaggerate and then wait....for a long, long time...and then judge....okay?!It is a perfume, a real good intense and complex-definitely not boring!Sensitiv and sexy, warm and sensual, dominating and daring-and wherever you are -you will recognise it ! This is obsession and passion and not a simple and vulgar edt of 2006......

This perfume is really DIVA!Floral but in a very nice way-warm, sensual, sexy and sophisticated-a very special, unique fragrance-for a great lady-a star and a diva.I had a friend: she had allure and was a bit stuck up and vain-very good-looking and always very chic and very up to date (dressed) with full blond hair and great eyes, a kind of Catherine Deneuve and she was wearing DIVA-unforgettable! Agreat, great perfume but for a DIVA!!!!!!!!!!!

Very Valentino pour Homme by Valentino

I personally have been disappointed by this edt.Spicy, intense,harsh,powerful-full of cntradictions. It starts delicious-you feel at once so many ingredients....italian way of life-on a high level-sexy, virile, passionate-and then suddenly the deception: this too much -too much of all!too intense, too powerful-like a lost of control of the perfume-and the nightmare starts:you feel dizzy, rousy-nauseas!This was my experience but everyone has an own perception! It starts so sexy and delicate -everything nicely put together and then the confusion-too intense, too many ingredients ending up in a chaos-very sad because when you smell it, first it`s gorgeous.Vendetta was definitely better and V by Valentino seems to be better too-anyway very nice bottle and may be your skijn is different and you feel different-try it - this pure italian way of life...

    Pour Un Homme by Caron

Most of the things have been said already.Por un homme by Caron is a very traditional, classical scent for someone who loves lavendar waters.A bit vanilla and citrus were added. It may be used by elderly gentlemen.A bit dated and conservative.Well at that time a man was not used to wear a cologne as nowadays.I personally used it for a time but I was missing the very special touch, the touch of being unique- and already the third man by caron is definitely different. But in it´s simplicity this edt is a grat scent and it captures the times and what men would use and were suppose to use.But if you look for something more daring, adventurous, unforgettable choose another scent......

    Calandre by Paco Rabanne

Another outstanding perfume of the last decades.Classical, sexy and unique.Woody, metallic and floral compounds but everything very well mixed! It is one of the first perfumes I remember of my mother and she was wearing inher younger years the really grat great scents like Vent Vert and Jolie Madame of Balmain, LeDyx and Quadrille by Balenciaga,Caleche by Hermes and Arpege by Lanvin-so this one fits perfectly-you should be a good looking, sexy young woman with class and distuingished. It is a scent of the 70ties but it is timelass-if you look for an everyday perfume, you can specially wear in the office etc. then try this wonderful perfume!By the way great bottle design-it matches very well with the scent. And ladies, if you wear this perfume- you won´t be forgotten-this is a scent to remember ! This scent has something .....it´s not like the whole artificial stuff that has been launched in 2006-all similar and no difference, the same simple smell, the same boaring package-all vulgar and cheap! But already the name-Eau de Calandre.....let it roll on your tongue, a look at the package and some drops on your skin....a very special and unique perfume made by the great Paco Rabanne at a time when one grat perfume after the other where in production-and the really great Chamade of Guerlain was launched in the same year....Perfumes that will last forever-The Eau de Calandre is a scent for a sexy, classy upotown girl without allure! You are a self-confident, well educated and classy woman who knows where she comes from and where she belongs too ! And you wanna have something not everyone has!

a basket full of apples-not more! that´s it-it reminds me a bit of all these shampoos with the apple smell-bäh...how can donna karan who has done such a great work-for example with unleaded for men and cashmere mist for women-sink so deep and allow to launch such a garbage in her name? Someone should explain this to me?Loss of brain?Very sad.Oh but you can use it as a room spray......not bad.....

    Trussardi Uomo by Trussardi

very ,very masculine and man-real man!spicy, strong.intense.Full and richflavour: leather and woody notes,tobacco....very sensual....very present and dominant, typical scent of the 80ies-very classical perfume! You won´t forget the smell.....it´s wow!nothing for a boy-it´s a man´s wardrobe!Great scent but not timeless and eternal as Bandit of Robert Piguet-this one is sensual, dark and somehow bad !
If you smell Trussardi everything is obvious and clear:good looking , elegant italian man in his 30ties to forties but Bandit of Robert Piguet-this is forbidden, bad and darkk and on the other side sexy, sensual, passion but be careful-you never now what´s going to happen-be careful....hehehe...

tommy is tommy: little young boys, giggling and laughing with a huge smile and everything is nice, lovely and pretty-okay and this is tommy edt too: simple, easy going, fresh and not more and i guess it doen´t want to be more-a first edt for the american youth being on the sunnyside of life..... but if you are a grown up and you have found yourself and you who you are and what you want then please go for a french classical scent if you look for a light and fresh edt but leave your fingers away from Tommy.....Personally I prefer unique and special edt that leave an impression, an identification -it´s all about what you expect from an edt and what it should be for you ....
