| | Cassis Rose by Body ShopI am not normally a fan of fruity or sweet scents because I prefer floral scents. However, Cassis Rose has managed to balance the floral, fruity and sweet scents rather well. I do find it pricy for a Body Shop product. In Australia, it is retailing at A$24.95 for a 30ml bottle. I know that Body Shop premises its prices on cummunity/fair trade, I am not sure if I believe that their goods are worth the prices that are charged. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Boss Femme by Hugo BossI tried this out in the store a few weeks ago. Man, I absolutely loved it. It was just the right amount of floral for my taste. I wonder if it's the Bulgarian Rose in the formulation. Enchante! 25th October, 2006. |
| | Innocent Summer Flash by Thierry MuglerI found this fragrance in the department store today and only got it because a friend could get a seriously ridiculous discount on it and she wanted to buy it for me as a gift. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Princess by Vera WangWhile I adore Vera Wang's self-titled fragrance, I hated this when I smelt it in store. I like florals but I don't know what exactly it was about this fragrance that turned me off so much. Oh well. Such is life. Sometimes I think that it's better that I don't like it because it means that I get to spend the money on other more important things. I have way too many perfumes as it is! 25th October, 2006. |
| | Euphoria Blossom by Calvin KleinI adore this scent! It's just the right mix of floral and musk. 25th October, 2006. |
| | The One by Dolce & GabbanaI tried this perfume in the department store today. It's pleasant enough, but certainly doesn't light my fire. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Lovely Prism by GivenchyI bought this in the duty free store in July. I am not normally one to go for a perfume because I am enamoured with the bottle design. I do certainly appreciate a beautiful bottle and a gorgeous fragrance living in harmony. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Live Luxe by Jennifer LopezMy local department store was heavily promoting this fragrance since its release. I think that it's way too fruity for my taste. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Trésor (original) by LancômeI have a miniature of this perfume but I absolutely hate the scent. I wonder if I will ever 'age' into it, as in like it when I am in my 50s. I sure hope not! 25th October, 2006. |
| | After Five 5th Avenue by Elizabeth ArdenI have owned Fith Avenue (Elizabeth Arden) for a few years and have always found that fresh, floral and pretty. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Lovely by Sarah Jessica ParkerLet's just say that I had higher expectations from SJP as I am a HUGE fan of SATC. This fragrance was undeinably pleasant but certainly unremarkable as well. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Paris Hilton by Paris HiltonI tried this perfume and it was UNREMARKABLE. I think that we should all stop giving any money or precious attention to Miss Hilton. What a waste of time for an individual utterly lacking in any discernable talent but has heaps of moolah to hire marketing personnel. I find celebrity fragrance PATHETIC! 25th October, 2006. |
| | Red Door Revealed by Elizabeth ArdenI bought this perfume in a gift set when there was a serious discount in the local department store. I hate Red Door although I am not sure if I like Red Door Revealed completely either. I ended up giving it to a treasured friend. I hope she is enjoying it. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Baby Doll Paris by Yves Saint LaurentEverytime I smell this perfume, I gag. It is way too sweet for my taste. I know that some uber celebrities adore it though, but I'm sticking to the more classy, sophisticated scents! That is the way that I buy clothes too, so at least I'm being a little consistent! 25th October, 2006. |
| | Tommy Girl by Tommy HilfigerThis was the first perfume that I ever bought for myself. It was about $100 for 100ml but I really liked it at the time. I remember that the bottle was some kind of limited edition and was completely plated in some kind of silver coating. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Lolita Lempicka by Lolita LempickaI had a girlfriend in high school who ADORED this scent. I think that it is way too overpowering, sweet and musky for my task. Definitely YUCK! 25th October, 2006. |
| | Miracle by LancômeI like this fragrance but not enough to pay money to purchase it (this is beginning to sound like the stody of my life). Anyway I think I like Miracle So Magic a little better. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Beyond Paradise by Estée LauderI keep spraying this on myself whenever I go into my favourite department store. I go to cheap perfume outlets and enquire about the price of this perfume. Hence, I have never bought it. I think my hesitation comes from the overly powerful jasmin scent in the perfume. Of course, the perfume is way too expensive for my budget. It's not so much that I cannot afford it, but rather that I prefer spending my money on the things that I really like 100%. Beyond Paradise just hasn't seemed to 'get' me at the right time/price. I think my wallet's happy about that though! 25th October, 2006. |
| | Red Door by Elizabeth ArdenThere are some perfumes where I only only need ONE whiff and I recoil because it seems like I am smelling a roomful of musty elderly ladies who are having some 50 year high school reunion. 25th October, 2006. |
| | Remember Me by Christian DiorI loved this scent and I still have about 1/3 of the bottle I bought way back when it was first released. I know that they often say you can't keep perfume beyond a certain number of years but I reckon this perfume is the same even now. It's probably the alcohol in it that has preserved it so well. This is a rare perfume where I enjoy the Jasmine notes. 25th October, 2006. |
| | J'Adore by Christian DiorI love this scent. It's extremely wearable and I feel gorgeous in it no matter what occasion I choose to wear it. I think it lasts quite well through the day as well. Excellent classic sophisticated choice! 25th October, 2006. |
| | Euphoria by Calvin KleinGorgeous fragrance. I love the bottle too, which is always a bonus. 25th October, 2006. |
