Tabaróme Millésime by Creed

Not bad for a wintery scent. I bought one bottle of it and wore it for a season. It's definitely not for spring/summer. Doesn't zing, though.

Néroli Sauvage by Creed

I have found that this cologne varies in the extreme from batch to batch. I've had sales people deny it, but it's true.

It started when I bought my first 4.0oz bottle of it after having bought my original 2.5 ounce. As you wear a fragrance, often you change the way you feel about it, and when I got the 4.0oz bottle home, I wore it, but something just wasn't right. I chalked it up to being used to the fragrance. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't nearly as good as it had been, and everyone loved it, so I continued wearing it.

I went in to get a new bottle at what was formerly the Creed store (now Bond No. 9) and requested the 4.0oz bottle because I wear it a lot and it's a better value for a fairly expensive cologne. As I was waiting for them to bring the bottle out, I took a sample of the 2.5 ounce tester of it that they had out for trial. It was COMPLETELY different. The sales people at first denied it, but they opened bottle after bottle of the 4.0oz and it smelled dramatically different from the 2.5 oz bottle, not as sweet, not as refreshing, kind of grassier and dry.

I bought the 2.5oz bottle, but needless to say, the batches, to me, have been uneven.

I've discussed it with several sales people since, some of whom admit that it is quite different from batch to batch, and it all depends on the quality of the flowers they pick the year of the batch.

I had one salesperson (at Saks in NYC) rave on about how that was impossible, that Oliver Creed has a secret formula, that he makes sure it's EXACTLY the same.

It's not.

I'll still say this, the last few bottles I got were pretty good, and women fall all over me when I'm wearing it. I still love it; it's my signature scent.
