| | Sartorial by Penhaligon'sAs Off-Scenter mentions, Sartorial is an unabashed throwback. I have always thought that in it's time, Brut was one of the most masculine fragrances made. I was constantly on the prowl for a vintage bottle of Brut in hopes of somehow recapturing that magic. Today, Brut would be obviously dated and brash but somehow Sartorial for me captures the essence of that 70's magical juice and brings it into the 2010's. Best new release of 2010, IMHO. 2nd March, 2011. |
| | Puro Lino by Puro LinoAs weylin mentions,"Puro Lino starts out with a quite powerful liquid detergent opening." For me it never really releases the liquid laundrey detergent scent. I really wanted to like this one but after a half dozen attempts over two years it's a no-go. Better options are Prada Infusion D'homme, Helmut Lang EDC, Penhaligon's Castille and of course Gendarme. 11th October, 2010. (Last Edited: 13rd September, 2011.) |
| | Le Mâle by Jean Paul GaultierShould have been named Le Femâle. 18th July, 2010. |
| | 03 Century by Odin New YorkOverall, a nice fragrance, especially the opening. The drydown...ehh. Trident sugarless bubblegum to be exact. ;'( 2nd March, 2010. |
| | Michael for Men by Michael KorsThis is my paragon autumn scent. It comes alive in the fall. There is none better. Nothing more need be said. 21st October, 2009. |
| | Bijan for Men by BijanJust right for a sweaty nightclub. That said; that is the only setting I could ever see wearing this. 10th October, 2009. |
| | Oxford & Cambridge by Czech & SpeakeOxford, Cambridge, Eton or Westminster - this Czech & Speake shouts privilege, academia and refinement. What a unique classic. 29th September, 2009. |
| | Baie de Genièvre by CreedCreed's Baie de Genievre Feuilles de Canneliers. Formal. Sophisticated. Classy. Refined. Masculine. Sexy. Can't ask too much more than that from a fragrance. 1st July, 2009. (Last Edited: 4th October, 2009.) |
| | Scent Intense by Costume NationalCostume National's Scent Intense is a mysterious, naughty, dark, haunting, swoon-worthy and surreal brew. It's hard to verbalize but there is definitely a 'something' about this scent. 15th May, 2009. |
| | M7 by Yves Saint LaurentThis one took a few tries before I fell in love with it. Totally unique. Go very light with it and give it about 45 minutes before going out (as is the case with so many other frags) - it's then absolutely perfect. Agreed that it is a scent for the cool late Autumn and holiday/Winter season. Magical. 29th July, 2007. (Last Edited: 28th April, 2008.) |
| | M7 Fresh by Yves Saint LaurentWow. These reviews are spot on. Lime/Citrus/'Fruit-Loop' opening (but in a totally good way) drying down to a mellower more subdued M7 agarwood. Off to purchase it in Europe! 28th July, 2007. (Last Edited: 21st July, 2009.) |
| | "Vintage" Tabaróme by CreedOkay, I'll say it...God's personal cologne. :') 21st July, 2007. (Last Edited: 10th November, 2009.) |
| | Déclaration by CartierTerres D'Hermes revisited? 21st July, 2007. |
| | Tabaróme Millésime by CreedAgreed. Ginger belongs with sushi. The ginger does burn off within 30-45 minutes. and then what is left is a very one dimensional tobacco of the 'unsmoked/unroasted', 'green/leafy' variety. Stick with the Vintage. 16th March, 2007. |
| | Feeling Man by Jil SanderOne of my all time favorites. Cotton Candy and Tobacco. Very masculine. 8th March, 2007. |
