Intimately Beckham Night Women by Beckham

Don't like this one, although Intimately Beckham is one of my favourites. This one smells too 'man' for me. In fact I could imagine a man wearing it quite well. I was intrigued by the description of cinnamon, tuberose and Patchouli. I however find the cinnamon in Cinnabar much nicer and the tuberose in Mahora a better rendering and I get a lot better patchouli from Midnight Poison.

Tabu by Dana

Ever sit next the the smelly old lady in church? Well, this is it in a nutshell - not even close to being sexy.

Opium by Yves Saint Laurent

I normally like fresh fruity florals so this one is a nightmare to me, but on a much higher scale than the typical heedy scents. It smells very 'old lady' in a sinister, unkempt/decomposing sort of way. If one could imagine what an unshowered Joan Crawford and Night of the Living Dead would smell like together or maybe Norman Bates mother - this is it.

Paloma Picasso / Mon Parfum by Paloma Picasso

I tested this one at the perfume counter recently. Smelled terrible right away - reminded me of unkept nursing homes where the residents don't get bathed often enough and the essence of urine seems to follow you everywhere. My husband hated it also - said he could piss himself and smell the same for free. Unfortunately, it still smelled of moldy, incontinent old people even an hour later. Couldn't wait to get home and wash it off. I find nothing 'rich' about it.

1881 pour Femme by Cerruti

I love this fragrance! It is the most fresh smelling perfume ever. Like nothing else I can think of. It's the kind of thing you would wear along with a crisp white or pastel colored shirt. There is nothing sweet or sickly here at all - those scents (even though I like them) tend to give me a headache if exposed to them for too long. I would say this would be a good one for the fussiest of people with supersensitive noses. If you do not like grandma, old lady, sweet, sickly, fruity or musky, then this is the scent for you. Completely un-offensive in every way. It seems to baffle people to some extent. Have had bonafide 'perfume haters' tell me they like whatever that smell it is that is coming from my direction. It is not really one that would seduce a man - but certainly creates some intrigue.

Intimately Beckham Women by Beckham

My husband bought this for me as a last minute anniversary present - you know the kind because they just remembered the occasion. I was a bit sceptical simply because of the Beckham reference (& me being 35 and not wanting to smell like an aging adolescent) but was pleasantly suprised. It is a very flowery/rosey, pretty, feminine scent and I really like it. Definitely a smell that a man would like on a woman. It isn't terribly strong, but is just enough to get noticed if you stand next to someone in the elevator.
