Well, I just got my Rive Gauche.
The initial scent after the first spray really turned me off. I really didn't like it.
But after 5 minutes I loved it!
The alcohol smell evaporated and it smells completely different.
I have finally figured out the smell...shaving cream !!
Has anyone ever hated the smell of shaving cream? No woman I know :)
It's clean and soapy smelling on me. Reminds my friends of a shave and a haircut at a barbershop. I don't care if that's what YSL was going for but that's what they have with me and it's very pleasurable.
Unfortunately, I will have to shelve this until the spring, I have better Winter-scents.

I hate to put this frag down but I found this smells JUST LIKE the photocopier toner in Xerox machines at my school in the 70's and 80's.
The initial alcohol blast never seems to leave. Sorry but not for me.

Well, I have been testing this, trying to like it.
It is by no means offensive but reminds me
too much of cotton candy. Not a bad frag, I'm sure works well with some people.
