Bijan VIP for Men by Bijan

Very nice bottle and packagiing as with all these line of bijan scents. Very cheaply priced but a designer scent. In the same vein as Salvatore Ferragamo but better. Nice and spicy, woddsy and slightly tropical with some citrus thrown in, not the greatest in it's class but worth the money.

    Mimosa by Czech & Speake

This does indeed smell like some unpleasant toilet smell with some soap thrown in, very unpleasant.

Lucky Number 6 for Men by Lucky Brand

For the low cost of this fragrance, it is exceptional good value for money. Quite simple and heavy but sexy with average longevity.

    Encre Noire by Lalique

Smelling this and terre de hermes on each wrist they are very much alike, this is less harsh. With two types of vetiver and maybe some orange and greens thrown in it is very nice and complex.

    "Vintage" Tabaróme by Creed

A very musty and in your face fragrance. Deserves the vintage title as it is very distinctive and mature. Its not really a wow fragrance as it took a while for me to warm to it, but this, along with Bulgari Notte it has a very reminiscent olfactory feel to it which is very pleasant. It seems like I've smelled it years ago but I don't quite know where. I would say you have to be 60+ to wear this with confidence but a very apt elegant fragrance for the older man.

Number 3 / Le 3me Homme / The Third Man by Caron

A very headache inducing fragrance, slightly feminine. I wanted to like it but just couldn't.

    Hugo Element by Hugo Boss

A nice fresh scent, decent longevity and ok sillage, quite similar to Lacoste Essential.

Quite a nice fresh summer scent, nothing spectacular but the mint note is interesting.

    Diesel Plus Plus by Diesel

I can't believe the negative reviews on this one, which would suggest that it is a offensive or disgusting scent. It does not smell at all synthetic, a nice sweet summer scent.

    Joop! Thrill Men by Joop!

Another pleasant sweet release from Joop. They definately gear their fragrances towards the younger generation, as although nice, it is not really unique and could not really be easily identified from many other sweet frags. It is one of the better ones in this kind of category though and would purchase if at a reasonable price.

    Dunhill Black by Alfred Dunhill

The bottle of Black carries on from the previous Dunhill release of London, with fresh and pursuit being also quite similar. I can imagine these looking quite good on a shelf in a collection (maybe not as good as a collection of Creed frags though). As for the fragrance itself is extremely similar to x2o by Ted Baker which make this frag lack originality. As I already have x2o I will not be purchasing this in a hurry, but it is a nice release.

    1 Million by Paco Rabanne

This scent is maybe unisex but not really feminine in my opinion. The mint in the topnotes is nice, and although it is not listed there does seem to be some cherry also. Long lasting, sweet and strong, a nice bottle design, on eof Paco's best.

I am King by Sean John

Nothing spectacular here. After the great releases of Unforgivable (and the spin-offs of) I was expecting a bit too much as this fragrance left me feeling disappointed. The longevity is poor and the fruity opening is nothing to write home about.

    Rochas Lui by Rochas

I can see a slight comparison to GpH but they're not that similar. They are both very nice scents and are worth having both in a collection. It definately has a nice spicy warmth about the fragrance, very masculine and mature. It does a 80s powerhouse feel to it but most of the frags in that category can be forgotten, whereas this is very sophisticated and classy.

Gucci by Gucci pour Homme by Gucci

The opening notes strongly remind me of Burberry for men (1995). Through the mid notes it continues to smell like burberry for men, but with much better lasting power and sillage. It ends up smelling similar to X2O by ted baker. I have nothing bad as such to say about this fragrance as it is a classy, long lasting scent, but as with many new fragrances it bears resemblance to other fragrances that I have tested previously. A nice addition to anyones collection if you do not have either of the aformentioned mens frags.

Smells quite like Armani Night to my nose, very nice, but no need to purchase when you already have Night.

Versace Man Eau Fraîche by Versace

Hmmm, nothing like the original Versace Man. It certainly is fresh with a zesty lemon about it, but fails to be anything more than that. It is a nice fragrance recommended for the summer but not the greatest in its group.

Herrera for Men by Carolina Herrera

This is a nice fragrance but it is quite similar to the older burberry london and extremely similar to safari by ralph lauren. As safari was brought out a year after this I'd say that it is a blatent copy, but as I already have safari and burberry london, I cannot have both in my collection.

    Infusion d'Homme by Prada

Smelling this and original on each wrist I compare them together. It's soapy like the original, but less harsh and a bit more femenine. I Couldn't detect Infusion d'homme on my skin after 20 mins, whereas the original was there for a good few hours later. If you have a choice between the two get the Amber. I hope Prada's next male offering goes in a different, less soapy direction than their first two frags. :P

212 Sexy Man by Carolina Herrera

This is almost a carbon copy of Le Male. Longevity and sillage are maybe slightly worse on this than Le Male. If you have one, don't bother with the other.

Léonard pour Homme (original) by Léonard

Sorry to end the run of positive reviews but I really can't get on with this scent. It's very nauseating. The citrus/grassy notes are just too much and in your face. I normally like powerful scents, the longevity is good, but I simply wouldn't like to smell like this all day!

X2O Extraordinary for Men by Ted Baker

Has no real resemblance to it's predeccesor, which is good thing really, as most reformulations do not smell too much different to make it worth buying all in the collection. This however smells a bit like Chic for men, spicy and sweet. Good longevity and decent sillage.

Very Irresistible for Men Fresh Attitude by Givenchy

This is quite different from the original, it seems replacing the chocolate accord with a minty one. Quite a "sporty" smelling fragrance, nice bottle and coloured juice.

XO Extraordinary for Men by Ted Baker

A nice peppery, musky fragrance. Nicely designed bottle with wood and glass, the colour of the juice is almost luminescent, so looks nice within a collection. As the for the fragrance itself, a nice peppery/musky kind of scent, haven't smelled anything quite like it for comparisons. I would say that it would have to be tested before blind buying (although that's exactly what I did :P) For 25-40 year olds?

Very Sexy for Him by Victoria's Secret

This is a nice romantic fragrance for someone who is new to the fragrance scene. It has no real depth, lasting power, or sillage, but it is quite sexy, you'll just have to re-apply it a few times throughout the night to get the desired effect.

    Dior Homme by Christian Dior

Not quite as sophisticated as I'd expected. It is extremely sweet, having ingredients making it slightly less-masculine than I'd have liked. Saying that, it is a nice smell, with a strong sillage and great longevity. A bit harsh on the top-notes but on the dry-down it is very pleasant. Great bottle design also.

    Python Uomo by Trussardi

Hmmm, this is a rather unusual scent, still not sure if I like it or not after several wears. Its not unpleasant but doesn't wow me either. Its certainly got character with certain notes I don't think I've smelled before. Its worth a try, but not as a blind buy.

    Black Jeans by Versace

Very similar to two scents but combine them very well. It bears a resemblance to Ungaro III but has more of a tar smell than flowers. Also bears a likeness to rive gauche. A very dark and mysterious scent. A very nice addition to the collection, especially as it is discontinued. Harsh and in your face, just the way I like it!

    Bright Visit by Azzaro

This take on the original Visit fragrance is a nice surprise. It does smell like the original but with less of the nutmeg, also more of a fresher, clean scent. I like both the versions, which are worth having individually. Thumbs up :)
