Sentiment for Men by Escada
A scent for the man of mystery. A good choice for the second or third date. I dont know what Jackfruit is but im digging it. ;)

Casual Friday by Escada
Casual Friday is a sporty Gourmand scent. Quite sweet smelling but much more tolerable than that yucky A men. Kind of like a cup of Starbucks with berries blended in. VERY long lasting also. I like it.

Diesel Green Masculine by Diesel
I like it alot, although its quite a strange scent. Smells like a combination of pine and candy. It lasts fairly long and the bottle is very DIESEL.

Eau Sauvage by Christian Dior
So this is the great and mighty Eau Sauvage, I must say I am not very impressed. Im having a hard time understanding all the praise bestowed upon it. Its just.........lemon. Not an overly sour or strong lemon but just a boring steady lemon smell. Sure it worked well in the 18th century to cover up the stench of B.O., but whats the appeal of it now? I guess I'll count out Acqua di Parma.

Wings for Men by Wings
Very, VERY fresh scent. The fruity, berry notes became much too strong on the drydown though and turned me off of Wings. Would make a great air freshener. It wins the freshness longevity contest by a mile. The bottle is a classic design. CC 03/09/05

Green Jeans by Versace
This scent was done like 50 years ago, its called Pino Silvestri. If I want to smell like Pine, ill clean my kitchen floor. NO thank you! CC 3/9/05

V/S for Men by Versace
I thought this smelled terrific at first but I tired of it pretty quick. Smells very fresh, slightly sweet on the top notes but dries down to something synthetic and kind of cheap. You can find it pretty cheap at the TJ/Marshalls stores if its your thing.
10 March 2005
Blue Jeans by Versace
It's a bit similar to Perry Ellis 360, and also the hard to find Jil Sander Feeling Man. A sharp fruity, tobacco like smell. pretty good.
10 March 2005
Nu Eau de Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent
This is a very sensual scent. I like to think of it as the Womens Trussardi Uomo or another male comparison would be Oscar Pour Lui. A very heady floral, woods blend. I almost purchased it on the suggestion it could be used by men, but there is something in here that definately says feminine. Visions of a tall dark haired exotic brunette of Meditteranean origin come to mind as the wearer of this exotic fragrance. CC 3/09/05

Salvatore Ferragamo pour Homme by Salvatore Ferragamo
Not too bad, but too much wood. A warning, dont use the after shave and Edt together, the cedar smell will overpower you.
10 March 2005
Zegna by Ermenegildo Zegna
Yes, our Russian friend can certainly paint a pretty picture, even if the fragrance turns out to be not so good. The original Zegna tries hard to fit the ultra masculine mold, but comes up short. I agree with Marcel (du Charles) stale tea comparison. It makes me think of drinking a cup of Earl Grey with lemon. This is a smell that does not belong on human skin. If you want hardcore masculinity, give Trussardi Uomo a try.
10 March 2005
Platinum Égoïste by Chanel
This is a superb blend of freshness and woods. Very balanced. nothing overstated. Just enough floral on the tope notes, and the perfect amount of wood. The cedar note is subdued, not the overly sick scream of found in Gucci Rush. Longevity is fairly good. It blows the original Egoiste out of the water. ;)

Lagerfeld Man by Lagerfeld
Yet another stuffy, heady Lagerfeld fragrance that isn't much of an improvement over the others. If you want a good MANLY scent, buy Trussardi Uomo.

Helmut Lang Men by Helmut Lang
I like this fragrance alot. I don't smell the musk, its covered so well by the woodsy, powdery sweetness. Im surpised the other expert "noses" didn't care for it. It's a subtle fragrance, every once in a while when i turn my head, ill catch a whiff of it. The simple packaging is nice too. They are putting the quality in the product, rather than make an ornate bottle with a mediocre fragrance inside. Big thumbs up from me, I HIGHLY recommend it. 05/14/04

Lucky You for Men by Lucky Brand
Interesting scent. Kind of alcoholic smelling and a bit strong right out of the bottle. Very clean and fresh. Perhaps just a tad bit like CK be, but this is much more green. Both have similar light musk slements. I love the lucky brand jeans and i have an awesome L.B. leather coat. 3 out of 5.

Hei by Alfred Sung
Very close copy of Zhir. Fresh and airy smelling, but far too light and it has poor lasting power. Sung homme is a much better fragrance.
08 May 2004
Trussardi Uomo by Trussardi
Very, VERY masculine. Noticeable yet it seems to have a soft edge to it. Doesnt have the smack you in the face effect of Aramis or givenchy Gentleman. Deep, rich andd powerful are the 3 best words to describe it. The snakeskin like bottle and box it comes in is very cool. It is rather difficult to find, yet quite popular. It seems to be sold out frequently at alot of the scent shops online. I highly recommend it if youre into the masculine stuff. im eager to try trussardi light next.

Feeling Man by Jil Sander
Was able to get ahold of a bottle of the after shave on Ebay. It's good stuff. The original cologne guy said it was similar to Perry Ellis 360 and he wasn't entirely off the mark. It seems to have a slight aquatic, citrus sweetness over top of the tobacco. It's a shame it was discontinued. The packaging is cool too. The basic red box and square bottle with the slits cut into the side is very contemporary looking. A winner.

Jockey Club by Caswell-Massey
Is this stuff really 164 years old?? Hard to believe, it's awesome!! It does remind me just a bit of the smell of grooming products in a barber shop. clean and sweet. I highly recommend it and look forward to trying Green Briar and number 6.

T Gregory by T Gregory
This stuffs great! Found it for a great bargain too. Retials for $68.00, I paid $15.00. Very fresh smelling with a touch of vanilla and spice. It's very difficult to find too, which makes it more special and to top it off its a perfume! It can be found at Gendarme.com. Don'y know if Gendarme is just the distributor or manufacturer, but anyway it's a find. thumbs up

Bulgari pour Homme by Bulgari
Great fragrance, very fresh with hints of floral and spice. Classy looking bottle with the trademark slanted sides and flat cap. They haven't made a bad scent yet either.
05 February 2004
Boss Number One by Hugo Boss
Eww. One of very few that I actually threw away......quite bad! Strong and a bit odd smelling. Like a 70's fragrance still in the creation stages that horribly went wrong. $20.00 down the tube. Versace's first mens fragrance, VERSACE L'Homme on the other hand is a real winner and from the same time period. Thank goodness for HUGO and BOSS #6.

Jules by Christian Dior
After looking long and hard I finally nabbed a splash bottle of this hard to find "JULE" on EBay. I'm quite impressed with Jules and sorry to see it got discontinued. It is a very woody scent, yet smooth, not sharp and in your face like Givenchy Gentleman. There must be a floral note or two in there, as it has just a tiny bit of floral freshness. Halstons Z-14 seems just a bit similar to me, but Halston is much much stronger and heavy on the musk. Lagerfeld's Photo also is similar, but Photo is too stuffy and thick. I recommend Jules to the "hard to find" fragrance collectors. It's worth the search!

Live Jazz by Yves Saint Laurent
Nice, zippy fresh fragrance with some citrus notes. Not too tarty, not too sweet. Best of all, I only paid $10.00 for 1.7 oz edt and deodorant at Perfumania's mark down counter! A bargain for an YSL fragrance. Woohoo!
25 January 2004
Red for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills
All I want to know about this fragrance is why in the heck does it command such ridiculously high prices, even on Ebay!!?? I know its discontinued and hard to find but I've seen 3.4 oz bottle sell for over $200.00 on Ebay. Gimme a break guys, I'm sure it's not that good! There are many other rare fragrances (Jules by Christian Dior, JilSanders Feeling Man) that I'm sure are just as good or better but can be found for less. I would like to hear from the informed expert noses on this fragrance.
24 January 2004
Realm by Realm Fragrances
I love Realm and don't know why it was discontinued. Its mildly sweet, but not overdone and the berry note in it blends well with everything else. It's not like Giorgio's Wings or that horrible Lagerfeld creation JAKO (ugh), where the berry gives me a headache its so strong. Very mellow, very nice. If used in conjuction with the after shave balm it lasts for a very long time. One of the very best after shave balms I might add. I hope ths Erox corporation makes a new fragrance to replace it, that is if they're still in existance!
24 January 2004
Body Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent
I had high hopes for Body Kouros and bought a set of the eau de toilette and body wash without trying it. Mistake. I tried hard to like Body, thinking it might grow on me after a while but it didn't. There's just some strange synthetic smell lurking behind the sweetness that I can't get past. It almost gives me a headache. Perhaps it's the incense, I don't know. It's very different than other sweet scents, but not for the better. There's some kind of eerie quality to this fragrance. There are alot of companion items to Body Kouros including a deodorant body spritz. Would have been nice if they made that for Opium. I'll stick with Opium.

Relax by Davidoff
Woweee zoweeeee! This is an amazing fragrance. It's so incredibly smoooooooth! Why on earth did Davidoff ever stop selling this in the States. It's amazing stuff. I have no idea why, but for some reason when I smell this fragrance I think of marshmallows. Light, fluffy sweet marshmallows. Long lasting also. If you can get this hard to find jewel, immediately snag it. You will not be let down. 10/10

Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene
P.U. This is horrible. It stinks from the sprayer and it stinks on my skin. I noticed no development over time either. I haven't met a woman who likes this disgusting, overpowering hell potion. nauseating...
19 January 2004
Good Life by Davidoff
It stinks and quite frankly im surprised at all the good reviews for it here. Zino, Cool Water and Relax were all fantastic. Product quality has really fallen off with the last 2 entries from Davidoff. BOOOOOOOO!
19 January 2004
Drakkar Noir by Guy Laroche
It rocks, and it smells great on young and old. "Nuff said.
19 January 2004
Gucci pour Homme (original) by Gucci
Typical ultra sharp, ultra heavy 70's fragrance. Think of a cross between Aramis and Givenchy Gentleman. Very IN YOUR FACE! Not a fragrance to impress the ladies. It actually smells like alot of cheap very strong aftershaves. A bad first outing for a Gucci mens fragrance. Thank goodness for Envy and the new GUCCI pour HOMME!
19 January 2004
Vendetta pour Homme by Valentino
Elegance packaged in a beautiful bottle. It's a perfect scent for formal occasions. Easy to tell this was made to be worn with a suit. It's for a man of sophistication. It bears alot of similarities to 70's fragrances but Valentino seems to have turned down the volume just a little. I highly recommend it, that is if you can find it!

Diesel Plus Plus by Diesel
I purchased this becuase I was really attracted to the clever milk carton packaging with the cows on the box. Diesel knows how to grab someones eye. The scent is quite unique. It does have a smooth creamy type of smell with a slight undertone of berries. It seemed to stay close to the skin but i was using it in cooler weather. I'll have to give it a test in the spring to see if its stronger. I don't like it as much as the original diesel yellow or green but its not a bad scent at all. Plus I got it fairly cheap. Thumbs up
17 January 2004
The Baron by LTL
I don't think I can say enough good things about this jewel. It's so rich and intoxicating. The lavender in the top note is so pronounced, I love it! What an incredibly well made scent. I have a hard time refraining from smelling the sprayer (it's that good). The silver coated bottle is very regal looking as well. It's great that the Baron is not widely available either. I'd like to keep it a secret! Just made my top 5 list. BIG thumbs up from me.
17 January 2004
A*Men / Angel Men by Thierry Mugler
Burnt chocolate, caramel and bitter stale coffee all rolled into one. Rochas man is much, much better. It has many the same notes but blended together more succesfully. It's more refined than Angel. I do like the Metal container for the angel refill bottle. The fragrnace itself though is not worth the high price nor that good.
16 January 2004
Axe Kilo by Axe / Lynx
Second best Axe fragrance behind Phoenix. I recommend these to guys who arent cologne wearers but would just like to smell good for a date or just to work. I think they're a great idea.
16 January 2004
Axe Phoenix / Lynx Phoenix by Axe / Lynx
The best of the Axe body sprays. For $4.00 a can, it's worth trying.
16 January 2004
Sud Est by Romeo Gigli
It is indeed a unique scent. Very spicy and warm. The herb ingredients give it a rich depth. Lasts for a considerable amount of time as well. Very appropriate for an Italian fragrance. Excellent for cool weather. Definately not for the youngsters. You like spice? You like to smell unique? Then go with Sud Est.
14 January 2004
Aramis by Aramis
It's okay. I got a bottle of the after shave to finally decide for myself. It's not foul smelling if used lightly. The thing I really don't like about Aramis is the "You smell like my dad" remarks you may get. Guerlain's classic mens fragrances (Habit Rouge, Vetiver) have been around just as long but they're still quite unique in composition and true timeless classics. Aramis has simply gotten old and outdated. When I think of the word "cologne", Aramis immediately comes to mind. I don't think that's necessarily a good thing. Neutral from me.
14 January 2004
Effusion for Him by Iceberg
I like this. As Ruslan said, the grapefruit note is prominent. It's a bit softer and more sweet smelling than others in its category. Not as "tarty". It could last a bit longer, but since I got it cheap, I'll give it the green thumb.
10 January 2004
Samouraï by Alain Delon
Remarkably fresh! Just one spritz on my wrist as I was walking out to my vehicle on a cold winter night, and WHOOOOOSH! It is a very, very unique oriental fragrance. It almost seems that the chilly air amplified it. More of the floral sweetness was evident. It makes me think of a Katana blade slicing through the frigid air on a starry winter night. I purchased a half full tester bottle for a mere $4.00 at a Discount Perfumery store. Great bargain, as this fragrance is quite difficult to locate. The elegant bottle and silver colored top are really classy too. This is a fragrance collectors "best kept secret" type of fragrance. BIG thumbs up!
08 January 2004
Cerruti Image by Cerruti
Fresh with just the right hint of spice. I easily detect the pepper and mint top notes. Lasts for a reasonble amount of time. The spray mechanism is da BOMB! thumbs up.

Égoïste / L'Égoïste by Chanel
Egoiste is a strange scent. I wanted very badly to like it when I got a bottle on Ebay, knowing it was expensive and exclusive. I was let down. Many people say it has a medicinal, cough syrup type smell. To me it had a predominant "tangy" scent, most likely from the tangerine note. Its not awful and it is definately unique, but certainly not worth the high price. Egoiste Platinum is far superior. It makes me wonder why Chanel chose to keep the EGOISTE label on Platinum. The two scents arent even in the same ballpark.

Aqua Velva Ice Blue by Williams
Nasty stuff. The only use I'd have for it is to clean my drains. Men who use this and Brut have absolute ZERO taste. Basenotes shouldn't even bother to list these wretched dime store aftershaves on their website. Fork out a few dollars and get some Polo or even Aramis. PLEEEEAAAASE!
31 December 2003
Minotaure by Paloma Picasso
I give this one the biggest thumbs up in every category except for lasting power. It's gone on me a couple of hours after I put it on. Perhaps it was intended to be more of a date, "oh you smell so good" close to the skin type fragrance and I don't have a problem with that. But I like colognes with at least moderate longevity. Great bottle! Oddly, Adrienne Vittadini has a womans Eau de Parfum that smells nearly the same. Lasts longer. Try the comparison for yourself and see!
29 December 2003
Unbound for Men by Halston
I would have to disagree with the previous reviewers comments. I say spend less and get Unbound instead of Acqua de Gio. Unbound is a beautiful aquatic fragrance. Yes, its an obvious clone of Acqua, but a tad bit stronger and more fruity. I don't often get compliments, but the cashier I purchased this from kept going on about how good I smelled. Check your local Marshalls or Tj Maxx, you can find this gem for a bargain. :)
29 December 2003
Catalyst for Men by Halston
Its a nice cold weather fragrance. Very incense, potpouri like. Reminds me quite a bit of the smell of my mothers living room during Christmas. The chemistry bottle packaging is neat also.
29 December 2003
Halston Z-14 by Halston
I kept trying to avoid this one for a long time, thinking it to be another Lagerfeld (which I despise) but its a well made scent. Very musky and woody. A perfect scent for the bold adventurous type or the Big Boss. Definately not for the under 30 crowd, they'll call it old mans juice. Funky, artsy bottle too.
29 December 2003
Habit Rouge by Guerlain
Magnificent. It was obviously way ahead of its time when this masterpiece was created. The light citrus and oriental notes compliment each other wonderfully. It's very rare to find a light fragrance such as this that can last so longggg! The next day I could still smill remnants of it on my clothes. I only regret not having found it sooner! BRAVO Guerlain. 5 of 5 stars
29 December 2003
273 for Men by Fred Hayman
Probably one of the most unusual scents I've ever tried. Im still not quite sure what to make of it. Kind of a heavy, smoky-sweet scent but very synthetic smelling. Nothing like Opium or others in its category. I noticed very little development on the drydown. The only reason I purchased it was because I found it dirt cheap. If you're one of those "quirky" fragrance collectors its worth trying, but not at full price. I give it a neutral.
29 December 2003
Dalimix by Salvador Dali
Very pleasant, fresh and slightly fruity. Very very soft. It has a strong resemblence to Bvlgari's Green tea.
Unfortunately Dalimix doesnt last longer than 15 minutes. Because of the poor longevity I have to give it a neutral. The bottle is da bmob though!
Unfortunately Dalimix doesnt last longer than 15 minutes. Because of the poor longevity I have to give it a neutral. The bottle is da bmob though!
25 December 2003
Safari for Men by Ralph Lauren
The Cinnamon and oakmoss are very strong. It's an interesting spicy fragrance. Very incense like. Slightly akin to Halstons Catalyst. I really like the womans version and was sad to hear it got discontinued.
25 December 2003
Chaps by Ralph Lauren
Wretched stuff. Why does Ralph allow his name to remian tied to this drug store smell? Bleck!!!
25 December 2003
Polo by Ralph Lauren
I believe it has the most universal appeal of any male fragrance. Both young and old love Polo. Polo and Obsession were very hip in my high school days of the late 80's. An almost can't go wrong cologne.
24 December 2003
Chanel Pour Monsieur by Chanel
Good stuff. It's a very thick amber-musk type fragrance. Easy on the trigger. One of very few that has withstood the test of time. Not for the timid!
24 December 2003
Escada Homme by Escada
I have no idea why Escada Pour Homme got discontinued. It's marvelous, still the best of their male fragrances. In my top 10 for sure. Love the cognac in it. They always put unique notes in their fragrances. I surely hope they have something coming out soon to replace it!
24 December 2003
Envy for Men by Gucci
Perhaps the finest fragrance ever created for a man, bar none. Every time I take a whiff it's like....."Wow". So smooth and the drydown is to die for. For every kid out there whos ready to graduate from the young generation fragrances like Curve or Tommy, this should be their first choice. Never have a negative comment from a woman when I wear it. Long live the king, long live ENVY!
24 December 2003
X-Centric by Alfred Dunhill
Good, not great. Kind of a fruity, aquatic mix. The top notes have a tarty "zinginess" to it that evokes the products name. The bottle, like its predecessor is great. Hopefully this house will continue to move forward in the future and not go the way of Davidoff.
22 December 2003
Présence by Mont Blanc
An triumph for the legendary pen maker. Fresh with an interesting wintergreen, minty undertone. Great after shave balm also. The bottle is very sleek and original but im not crazy about the trigger mechanism. These types need to be sprayed closer for a more precise application. Still gets a big thumbs up though.
22 December 2003
Rochas Man by Rochas
A well made fragrance. It is far superior to the more expensive Angel man. Both have the coffee, chocolate notes but Rochas Man is a smooth refined sweetness where Angel is chaotic and confusing. Its great Rochas scents arent found in the mall anchor stores, making them more exclusive. Their packaging and bottles are funky too! This scent helped me get a little "friendly" with a dancer at a local club. "wink"
22 December 2003
Michael for Men by Michael Kors
A heavy but pleasing scent thats perfect for cooler weather. Interestingly, after I applied it the first few times my nose quickly got accustomed to the smell. I could only catch fleeting whiffs of it although others told me they could still smell it. The first thing I think of when I smell it is AMBER alllllll the way. Yea, Ambery...thats the ticket! Definately, a dress up cologne. Good job mr Kors.
20 December 2003
Black Jeans by Versace
Personally I think its the best of Versace's "jeans" line. A very masculine fragrance with just the right amount of musk. The after shave balm is great too. A shame they decided to discontinue it. Perhaps the youthful packaging helped to do it in. I believe it would have gotten more recognition if they gave it an original bottle, took it out of the "jeans" line and aimed it toward the mature man. A pity.
20 December 2003
Pi by Givenchy
This one has such a delicious vanilla aroma to it. Rather than use the mathematical symbol, Givenchy should have put a picture of a "pie" on the box cover. Very edible smelling. For the most part it stays the same from application to drydown. The vanilla smell is very, very smooth. Im shocked to see vanilla isn't one of the notes in this fragrance! I personally like the original (yellow) version better. Pi blue's a bit too light and loses a bit of the exoticness of the original. It should become a classic.
20 December 2003
Adidas Moves by Adidas
This is a pretty good fragrance for being manufactured by a sneaker company! It's not as bland as alot of other scents in its category. Original enough to stand out but not be offensive. Masculine and sporty indeed. Much better than the Michael Jordan fragrances. Definately worth a try for the guy who plays it safe and isnt into heavy scents. Good for young and old alike.
20 December 2003
Jaïpur Homme by Boucheron
Beautiful and sweet. Has a definite classy, "rich guy" aura about it. The parfum lasts all day. Yea, you could say this is one of those Foo-fee, fluffy, feminine smells but if sweet and rich is your thing, no ones collection can be complete without it. Its nice that a few of the finer houses still make mens parfums. The metal container is a keeper too.
20 December 2003
cK be by Calvin Klein
Mmmmmm....very interesting smell. The white musk throughout is nice. It isn't heavy or overbearing like so many other musk fragrances. It has a "coolness" to it that reminds me of a breezy Autumn day. Would smell okay on the right woman but really more of a mans fragrance. The packaging reflects this. Nice bottle. Big thumbs up for Mr. Klein
20 December 2003
Oscar de la Renta pour Lui by Oscar de la Renta
I can't believe no one has yet reviewed this marvelous fragrance, which was a FIFI award winner! A very, VERY spicy floral scent. Thick and heady. Think of Cacharel (which came out the same year) except on steroids. 2 spritzes is more than enough. This one will definately get attention. Packaged in a very handsome, masculine dark blue bottle. A winner, Still waiting for the mighty russian Ruslan's opinion. :)
18 December 2003
Fendi Uomo by Fendi
Another "old guys" fragrance but not a good one. How can these great Italian designers make something so run of the mill?
18 December 2003
Rush for Men by Gucci
Horrible for a Gucci fragrance, shame on them for making this! The wood smell is incredibly overpowering even with just one spritz. It's like liquified cedar in a bottle. Yuck. Gucci really ought to consider disco'ing this one. A thousand miles from Envy or Pour Homme. MAJOR thumbs down.
18 December 2003
Azzaro pour Homme by Azzaro
Very dated smelling. Not as offensive as Lagerfeld but nothing in particular stands out about this one. It's not a "lady killer" fragrance. To me its a bit generic, maybe a step above the cheaper drug store scents. It doesnt belong with classics like Vetiver or Eau Savage. Not to be used by the under 40 crowd.
18 December 2003
Versace l'Homme by Versace
Excellent. Very masculine. Not for the kids. Its like a drier, less sweet Gucci Envy. Excellent drydown. It's withstood the test of time well.
17 December 2003
Gucci pour Homme by Gucci
Worth the wait. It has a very pleasant honey like sweetness from the ginger and white pepper. Its not an "in your face" offensive smell like alot of the 70's colognes it evokes. The bottle weighs a ton! It copies the Michael Kors bottle design though with the basic square shape and top. Overall, a worthy succesor to Envy. 4 stars
17 December 2003
Eau Parfumée au Thé Verte by Bulgari
Nice and soft fragrance. A bit on the feminine side. Salvador Dali's Dalimix is a very close copy of this except Dalimix lasts only minutes where this lasts hours. If I'm not mistaken this is the one referred to as Bvlgari "Green Tea" even though it isn't written on the box. You don't have to worry about over applying this one!
16 December 2003
Oscar for Men by Oscar de la Renta
Yuck! Very bad fragrance by oscar. It has a sweaty, sour smell. It reminds me of wine that has overfermented and turned to vinegar. Pour Lui on the other hand is great. Stark contrast between the two.
10 December 2003
Lalique pour Homme by Lalique
a very nice sweet fragrance, but not too heavy. Think of Guerlains Shalimar, but a lighter male version. Hold on to the bottle as Lalique crystal is very collectible!
10 December 2003
Joop! Homme by Joop!
You either like this one or you don't. Theres no inbetween. I love it myself. It has a nice ambery sweetness on the drydown. It's hard to believe its not an eau de parfum because it's so darn strong! The after shave Balm is nice also, but like the cologne only a few little dabs are necessary. Thumbs up to the Joopster!
10 December 2003
Bobby Jones by Bobby Jones
This is a nice fresh scent. Its similar to Swiss Army but a bit more "green". Both are made in Switzerland so maybe there is a slight connection. Great bottle. I like the belt around the bottom. Thumbs up!
09 December 2003
Ulysse by Vicky Tiel
Very sweet, nice drydown. It does indeed last a long time. The bottle is terrific, a definite must have for the bottle collector. Also an uncommon fragrance, which is why I like it!
04 December 2003
Santos by Cartier
Absolutely VILE! I took one whiff and it nearly knocked me out. I expected something along the lines of Aramis which is strong but good for older gentleman. It's just plain horrible. Terribly overpowering. I can't believe such a fantastic jewelry maker could create such a dreadful fragrance. To be used only by balding, middle aged, shark suit wearing used car salesman.
04 December 2003
Bulgari Black by Bulgari
The best of all the Bulgari fragrances in my opinion. I love the powdery sweet smell. Clever how they managed to sustain the same scent from spray to drydown. I really like the rubber coated bottle and off/on switch on the sprayer. This is superior to Bulgari BLV. Give it a try if your a sweet fraqgrance buff. Who said this smelled like wet cardboard? where did they get that crazy idea. This is great!
11 September 2003
Cigar by Rémy Latour
This is a unique fragrance. It has a very spicy warmth to it and does smell like a box of fresh Cohibas! It can be found inexpensive in alot of discount stores like Marshalls for around $10.00-15.00. Its not one the young folks would probably like (unless your a cigar smoker). I like it quite a bit, perfect scent for Autumn or Winter in front of a warm fireplace with your loved one. Neat bottle and can too. Im hoping Remy Latour will make a new scent called Coffee! Mmmmmmmmm....c-o-f-f-e-e!
07 September 2003
Baïme by Maître Parfumeur et Gantier
If there ever was a fragrance that fits the word "intoxicating" this is it. I got a free sample (sprayed on a card) just to see what an exclusive high end cologne really smells like and it blew me away. I didn't realize an herb like basil could be a wonderful note in a fragrance. Im saving my $ to purchase a bottle of this. All i can say is WOWWW!!
27 August 2003
Jacomo de Jacomo Rouge by Jacomo
I like this one. Its similar to Givenchy's own rouge cologne Xeryus Rouge but a bit lighter. It has the same steady sweetness to it. I don't know about the comparison to Le Male since I don't have that one yet but I this seems to be of very good quality. Best of all I purchased a 3.4 ox bottle for only $14.99 at my local TJ MAXX. definately worth a try.
