Sa Majesté la Rose by Serge Lutens Les Salons du Palais Royal Shiseido

I don't wear florals rose or no rose!So when I was given a free sample of "Its majesty the rose", i was doubtful. But then you dont say no to Serge Lutyens samples. I am now a convert.
This is rose washed by monsoon rains, drenched dark red oldworld roses that lasted for about 18 hours retaining its sweet dark smell. No fruit, no spice just rose and rainwater. Very bold very confident and stupendously beautiful.

Daim Blond by Serge Lutens Les Salons du Palais Royal Shiseido

It was a massive surprise; the first note that hit my nose was an old fashioned antiseptic "Dettol" full strength! Then it settled and the gorgeous butter/leather came curling out. Beautiful but probably not going to be a repeat purchase. The smell of freshly baked bread comes out at odd moments. The florals arrive very late especially heliotrope but stay for a decent while.Divine, as is all SL perfumes
but I think I will stay with Fumerie Turque for bit longer.

Chypre Rouge by Serge Lutens Les Salons du Palais Royal Shiseido

Bought this as impulse purchase after using a sample.Absolute BLISS! The only thing is that it works well in colder weather and probably better on dark/darkish skin. I can smell dried rose petals, amber and red sandal wood and raw opium. Lasted for hours; love it love it love it, but it triggered sneezes in my man.
