Timbuktu by L'Artisan Parfumeur

At first, Timbuktu smelled a little bitter, but that went away very quickly. I didn't detect any fruit in this scent, but my husband thought it smelled citrusy. The skin scent is amazing - patchouli, woods, vetiver, frankincense. So warm, smoky and sophisticated. Whoever said it was similar to Gucci Pour Homme is right on the money. I was looking for a similar unisex or feminine scent when I found Timbuktu. The two smell similar on me, only I feel a bit less masculine wearing Timbuktu. I'm not as enamored with Timbuktu as I am with Gucci PH, so I will keep looking, but I would wear this fragrance again for sure.

parfums*PARFUMS Series 6 Synthetic: Garage by Comme des Garçons

This is not a fragrance - it's a noxious fume. My husband described it when I first applied it as smelling like "stinky plastic packaging," and even a drop of this manufacturing chemical "scent" was so strong that I thought I was going to get high. Smelling it made me want to reach for a gas mask. I still smelled the plastic smell once it dried down, but to be fair, licorice and leather were more detectable once it mellowed out. This has lasting power - I couldn't wash it off no matter how hard I tried. I love unusual scents, but this was too much for me. Maybe not for someone else.

MoslBuddJewChristHinDao (Unifaith) by Elternhaus

This smelled a little plasticky when I first applied it, but it mellowed down to a really nice, warm scent. I can definitely smell the patchouli, and I noticed what I thought was incense, but perhaps it's the cedar and pepper notes. I don't smell the rose or the musk at all. I wouldn't wear this every day, as it definitely has a "hippie" vibe, but for a weekend hike in the woods - definitely. Oh, and it's absolutely unisex. This scent would smell great on my husband.

Gucci pour Homme by Gucci

I love this fragrance so much that I have decided to steal it from my husband and wear it myself. But don't let that fool you - it is a dark and manly fragrance. I just happen to be able to wear it. Others have described the notes better than I can, but I wanted to give my opinion!

Secret 33 Sensuality by Victoria's Secret

*The* smell of sexy, in my opinion. Dark and mysterious. It's a shame it's been discontinued.
