    Montana pour Homme by Montana

Montanna can be had for peanuts, but it will cover the cost of dinner. This is clean, fresh, musky, and amber all in one luxurious bottle. When i eventually tracked it down, I found the original red box stuff so overpowering and sweaty, and of the late seventies, early eighties vintage, that it has got to be taken out on a cold day and used sparingly. If you overspray pour Homme, then no problems will arise, you will just smell better, longer. - Is it great? no .... Is it poor, definately not, will it be as fresh as a daisy all day- you bet !!!

2 bottles of original red box 'Parfum D'Homme anyone'?

    Kiton Black by Kiton

Picked up 2 discounted bottles recently and I am unsure of whrther i will regret this small expense in the longer term. POLO BLACK does it better, and the reference to the slightly dirty note in the leather is a pop on assessment by Joe-Frances. There is still an appeal here in some of the fusions rise above it all. The quality of product shines through. The bottle is typical KITON though sexier than what we are used too. I will give this the thumbs up, if just for the rare and discreet value in owning and wearing occassionally. I much prefer the prodigal child, KITON Napoli, but then again, I am the unashamed absolute fan of the Later product by Claud Montana - BLUE MONTANA HOMME, ans have 2 of the Original RED BOX that are unlikely to see the light of day in my lifetime - takes all sorts !

    Kiton Napoli by Kiton

Picked two bottles of this Kiton product up recently for very little money. (Damaged boxes) Hard to find is an understatement. Yes it is a very pleasant scent and a very unusual opening a middle note (Tobacco ?) adds to the sophistication. Worth the hunt if the price is right. The barks' review is useful and NAPOLI does feel like a child conceived by strange parentage, though perhaps not LALIQUE LE FAUNE other than the unusual opening. KITON NAPOLI is clearly a well connected,(ARAMIS) if prodigal son who has class, quality and a little daring in his personality.

    You won't be disappointed.

    Polo Black by Ralph Lauren

Mixed reviews here and I really can't see why, unless its neutrality. The only problem that you might have with this fragrance is that it isn't right for you. I find it one of the nicest of the Polo range and very long lasting. it is particularly clean but perhaps not the sophisticated product one might expect to go with the name. Glad I have it in the cabinet as a staple, reliable, non offending pal for every now and again. admiring comments have been passed to me but unlike some of my more special secrets,( Boucheron, VC & A, Rochas etc) I am happy to place the name to this one

    Rocabar by Hermès

Hermes has a difficult culture to understand. Many of the products have a limited ability to stay the course with me and Eau D'orange verte is the prime example of elegance and class, taken out and applied before 9:00 and gone back home by 10:30. (am) ROCABAR however is completely different in its attitude. I get a menthol opening, whilst the game begins to happen among the other notes. This has an underlying strength that will be there all day, the subtle changes dry down to the woods and vanilla. Not a classic in my collection but one that I sport for a refreshing change. It receives its admirers, though more in winter as the perfume excels on chilled, clean skin. Definately worth a look, but just a tad expensive via normal routes, and not as intriguingly irresistable for the similar priced Rochas Lui

    Jaïpur Homme by Boucheron

Tremendous staying power and an unusual fragrance that always gets me noticed. I love thew opening gambit .. A firm P-K4 and proud of it. The drydown doesn't seem to happen that fast, but when the amber and cinnamon knock on the door, the party does get swinging. i agree with those who may feel its a relatively feminine scent, but that can easily be overcome with a darker tie and trousers. Compliments to the blender on this occassion. A masterpiece .. Perhaps not, a lovable smooth rogue in a dress, definitely.

    Boucheron pour Homme by Boucheron

Obviously this comes from a rich parentage and it shows in the quality of the ingredients. I find it hard to understand why this is seen as an everyday application however. I feel that it is a tad fussy on where you wear it and it has the potential to become a villain in the wrong place.

Beautiful in make up, and with a distinctive powdery dry down I wear this one with caution. definitely an over 40 product that should be available on prescription

    Rochas Lui by Rochas

Picked up a bottle today and what a pleasant surprise. A fragrance at ease with itself straight away. Not a hint of competition from any of the beautifully blended ingredients that is worthy of any note. A stayer which probably turns Romantic after the small hours. I know its nothing like it, but i found similar qualities in some of the JOVAN products, particularly SEX APPEAL. Its because LIU reminds me of my very well placed adolescence, with beautiful company, exploring each others delights. LIU is worthy of a thumbs up everywhere, if only for its silky charisma and affluent appeal. 10 / 10

Tsar by Van Cleef & Arpels

Try this for size ... eau de tsar in the morning, - after the shower and before work, then, wearing the same shirt mind, Tsar in the afternoon - after the swim / Jaccuzzi. Tsar smells great on me ( as recommended by others ) and I think it is unique in flavour, blend, and quality. It would cope with most formal and informal situations and bring you out on top. Not as fussy as VC & A's pour Homme, this one doen't need to be off to the Ball to show its sophisticated prowess. A great fragrance ... Classic

    Lalique pour Homme by Lalique

Lalique Homme .. A very classy, well made, smooth tinker, which has a sailor and spy chucked in there for good measure. I have just purchased a brand new heavily discounted bottle and on the first test I was neutral until it began to descend into the darkness of itself. Absolutely expensive in its presentation, though remaining controlled through its various transformations I am hooked. In the office I got a come on from the girls and the what is it ? response. Its no surprise i will keep them guessing. Pure genius, nothing less.
