This is an extreme scent and on two person develops very differently. On some it develops very smoothly, on me though it had a pungent, slightly disgusting smell. The lasting power is so good that 4 hours after I had spritzed a tiny little bit on my hand, still with every movement my hand made the pungent smell erupted anew.

Very nice, balanced scent. Only, as I'm not a big Patchouli fan, wouldn't buy it for myself.

After all the buzz about ELdO I managed to test Jasmin et Cigarette yesterday. I think it's a very nice and interesting scent, I really liked the combination of jasmine and the smoky tobacco note. Unfortunately it didn't last very long on my skin.

I bought this when I wasn't very interested in perfumes, yet. Now still finding that it's a nice scent because I basically like the notes but think that it's lacking a little refinement to make it more interesting.

I love Black - it's edgy, yet pleasant and makes me feel mysterious and pleasantly clear at the same time. My boyfriend who loves black clothes and minimalist design likes it very much, too. Bulgari's own description as an urban scent perfectly fits, I think.

On the website of Histoire de Parfums they write about the notes of 1826: "Encompassing fruity nuances with a tropical twist, this eau de parfum opens with notes of corsican Peach, strawberry and Tahitian coconut. The middle notes are an harmonious blend of a beautiful white flower bouquet, tinged with orange blossom, Egyptian jasmine, and Bulgarian rose. Finally, Balsam and Wood notes round out the feeling with incense, vanilla, cacao and benzoin blended with patchouli, cedar and sandalwood."

I smell mostly the white flower bouquet with a strong spicy noto on a woody base. Not being a big fan of flowery fragrances I like this one because it's not overly sweet and the flower notes are nicely balanced by the spices and the wood.
