Love in Black by Creed

I also smell the note oolala30 is talking about. I just received today some creed little vials I got for me an my gf, one of them LIB. The first impression on her skin was this smell produced by those little green shield bugs (Palomena prasina) when disturbed... I mean it, not kidding, I told her and we really had a good laugh. I looked through some sites to look for these bugs and find out that "...f disturbed, stink bugs will emit a pungent liquid, whose rancid almond smell is due to cyanide compounds...". Maybe this helps.
But it's true, next time you have a green shieldbug in your clothes, take it off vigorously with your finger and then smell it (your finger), then you'll save the money or the time trying to test LIB.
On the other hand, my gf loves fleurissimo, love in white and VIW, and I'm really into original vetiver and GIT.

Fahrenheit 32 by Christian Dior

Southern Spain is one of the places where you have the opportunity to smell Oranges Trees in blossom -Azahar- every spring, as you walk down the street the scent fills the air; it's an awesome smell that I really love. That's why I get excited every time a new perfume containing Orange Blossom comes out... but then I smell it and unfortunately the excitement ends. I've never found a perfume capable of emulate the wonderful scent of 'Azahar'. This one is not different, which makes me kind of sad for I really like the original Fahrenheit.
Besides, I won't say this is a masculine fragance, not at all. The Azahar scent is too feminine for me... there's a hidden dark basenote (maybe vanilla?) that wants to be kind of strong though, but it won't go out...

Herrera Aqua by Carolina Herrera

What do I ask for in a fragance? First of all it has to smell nicely, It can be oriental, spicy, woody, fresh, dark, warm, green, red or purple, I don't care. This one smells ok for me. So thumbs up.
Second thing I ask is the fragance to be unequivocally recognizable from the moment you've smelled it just once or twice. This one doesn't come up to my expectations here. So thumbs down.
I can only smell bergamot all over the scent. Yep, maybe a bergamot-vodka drink. Or maybe it's just me.
Anyway, all in all it's a quite fresh and wearable one, so give it a try.

Gucci pour Homme by Gucci

Smoooooth.
I smell stillness and sobriety.
I love this stuff. I can only find the olibanum (incense) note in it, but it's really worth it. I close my eyes and can almost picture myself in the middle of a Spanish "paso" de "Semana Santa" (I think the translation for this is "Passion Float", you know, religious figures of Saints, Virgins and Jesus carried by unseen people under a wooden structure along streets filled with quiet people and olibanum fragance). Anyway, a very evocative and holy fragance, but I guess it depends on your cultural and educational background...

Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent

Now I get it. I get why this is a really controversial fragance.
I bought it today, blind buy, just after reading the comments about it. I was looking for a nag champa fragance and decided to give it a chance (I have to say that I can't smell nag champa in it at all)...
All I can say is that if I had tested it before I wouldn't have buy it. And it would have been a mistake. Why? because I absolutely like this fragance!!! no, wait, I hate it!! no no, I love it!! damit, I think I have strange feelings about this one...
The top notes are AWFUL, now I understand the comments about urinals and old men's houses. But if you can wait until it settles down, slowly, calmly merging with your skin, you'll get the richest and darkest scent you've smelt in your life. And yet, there are times when even five hours after wearing it, I get an unpleasant feeling I can't explain.
Give it a try. Try it on your own skin if you can and see what it's like for you. I didn't know how complex the world of scents could be until I got this one.

Solo Loewe by Loewe

I was really looking forward to test this one, as I've always worn Loewe pour Homme (best fragance I've come across so far), and last month I smelt Esencia for the first time and liked it too.
Today I did.
And was very dissapointed.
I mean, it smells good. But reminds me to some mickey mouse fragances I used to wear when I was a kid. I can't smell cinnamon nor nutmeg, lavender nor thyme, mandarin nor bergamont. Smells like watermelon to me in the base.
Anyway, get this one if you like something soft to wear after a shower but as vadim said, don't think of it as a pour homme or esencia sequel.
