    Givenchy Gentleman by Givenchy

A classic, elegant chypre, with a patchouli dominant heart and a mossy base with a hint of leather. I get a bit of tarragon in the opening, which makes it interesting. I don’t detect any civet at all. A well executed masculine worthy of consideration.

    Grabazzi by Gendarme

One reviewer has noted a “good tar soap” note; another a tar note. For me, those are very close to my experience. It reminds me of a pumice soap I used years ago (called Lava). At any rate, this is a clean scent, albeit a different type of clean. Not bad, but something I would go for. I get decent longevity out Grabazzi.

    Endymion by Penhaligon's

I’ve worn Endymion about 20 times thus far, but somehow I have never gotten around to reviewing it. Unlike most scents in my collection, I think of Endymion as primarily a nocturnal scent – I prefer to wear it at bed time. To me, it integrates sensual and introspective aspects, an unusual mix that comes together here. I suppose the thing that continues to strike me is the coffee note. Reviewer foetidus aptly describes it as a “deep brooding Mandeling-like note. A bit potent for an EdC, the opening can be a bit too sweet if overapplied. I also enjoy tempered presentation of the spice notes (e.g., nutmeg, pepper and sage) and the creamy character of the scent as whole.

    Unforgivable by Sean John

Fizzy 7-up in a spray bottle! Very citrussy, sweet, playful. Refreshing.

It's not as close to Millesime Imperial as Cool Water is to Green Irish Tweed, but I can see why people keep comparing this to the Creed. It feels much cheaper though, and guess what, it *is* cheaper.

Nice effort though. I'm not sure whether the whole copycat thing is real or invented. Anyway, props for the perfumer to perform a good effort for much less money.

    Acqua di Sale by Profumum

Imagine a beautiful saltwater beach, sunny and packed with people, some have lotion on, some smell like camphor-sunscreen/noxcema, and just off the beach, is a resort hotel with a chlorine pool. you are standing at the back of the beach, near the hotel pool. From here, if you turn towards the beach, you smell the saltwater and the lotion/sunscreen. what a refreshing smell. You then turn back towards the hotel pool, just in time to see someone carrying soda, nachos, and a little candy get pushed right into the pool. it causes a big splash and all the food scatters over the waters surface. 3 surprised children in the pool simultaneously sh!t their bathing suits, and the feces float amongst the soda/nachos/candy. it all floats together in the chlorine water, and a breeze blows the smell out towards you, and you are now having trouble smelling the ocean air. you move back out towards the ocean, away from the pool, but the breeze is still blowing out. hopefully they clean the feces and food out of that pool soon. meanwhile, mothers are applying purel to their hands, after frantically wiping their children with baby wipes, upon taking them out of the pool.

    it smells like that.

Centaures Cuir Fougère by Pierre Cardin

Incensed leather and a slight green top. Dries down into a leather accord very similar to that found in John Varvatos (without the vanilla).

Richard James Cologne by Richard James

Poor longevity but is a very nice cologne. It's a "dirty" edc that's more spicy and reminds me of a less repugnant Quorum.

    Incense Extrême by Tauer

I'm going to be honest. Yuck! This smells like industrial waste from a plastics factory. Very minimal incense indeed.

I'll rename this Paco Rabanne pour Homme Light Aqua Marine. Smells generic. The bottle looks like a radioactive refrigerator.

Love and Luck for Women by Ed Hardy [Christian Audigier]

I like this. Very similar to D&G Light Blue's fruity florals. Black currant is a nice note here.

    Fumidus by Profumum

This smells like smoky and bold scotch whiskey, peat, and vetiver with an overwhelming opening. Are you sure this is what you want to smell like? If you want to smell like this -- try some lower-grade vetiver oils.

When people go clubbing in Thailand, they don't drink beer, vodka, and other spirits. What they, the majority, drink is whiskey. And this.... this smells like I wore Encre Noire out to the club, got drunk, and literally bathed myself in scotch, went out to the parking lot and fainted, lying next to a diesel car's exhaust for a few hours.

I tried it at Lane Crawford Hong Kong. It smells nice, but I wasn't sure if I should pay that sum for a body spray.

    Dunhill for Men by Dunhill

a gentlemen's fragrance meant to be worn on special occasions only. very wild and untamed openining of florals that at times is harsh and 1934ish. it settles after a wild to a calm floral with greatsillage and longevity but is a bit dated for the under 35 crowd. i have had my bottle for 3 years and it's still half full.

    Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf

fairly young floral. for ages 35 and under i would think. very sweet jasmine, and patchouli without ever being to cloying. at least they did not over think this one as the men's version "antidote" has 25 different notes!!! i like them both though.

Un Jardin sur le Nil by Hermès

To be perfectly honest, it smells like water-logged dirt in the drydown. Yet I mean that in the nicest possible way: there's something watery and delicate about that interplay of 'lotus' notes, especially, that I find lovely, but it has enough weirdness to make it interesting. Longevity is poor, however, which I feel has been the great weakness of the Jardin series, but maybe it's symptomatic of Ellena's minimalist style.

    Songes by Annick Goutal

I was really disappointed in this fragrance. It is sugary beyond belief and the white floral accords smell cheap and dated. Possibly in an attempt to appeal to a younger market, Annick Goutal has made a mess of a perfume. I only can hope that her new incense fragrances (which I will be trying soon) reflect her past triumphs. The only up side is that this perfume is affordable. And, unfortunately for me, this one has longevity.

Paco Rabanne Pour Elle by Paco Rabanne

Strange bottle and because of the squarness is hard to apply. But the perfume itself is not bad just has no silage and is nothing special.
I wish i could say i smell this and that ingrediant in a scent but i cant i just go by the smell itself and most importantly how long a perfume lasts on the skin.
I don' t think i would buy this perfume again

    Unforgivable Woman by Sean John

I clearly dont understand the negative reviews on this sweet innocent feminine fragrance. On me it smells delightful and i know other people who also love this scent. It is an inoffence smell i is perfect for work as it is not too over powerful. I can smell the cucumber, apple , jasmine, freesia and the coco de mer which gives it a slightly gourmand smell but not in a sickly way like Angel.
Does need to be applied a couple of times a day though as the silage is not that strong.
I have bought thid twice now and will continue to purchase it in the future
