Rather attractive opening accord – a sharp, sweet, aquatic, plus a direct lychee note provide for a likable simplicity. I don’t get musk, per se, but there is something sweet augmenting the lychee’s sweetness. The movement to the “floral” middle makes for a bit lowering of the timbre of the opening… the scent has come to operate at a lower sharpness level. I’m not sure I can identify either the iris or the Osmanthus, and the deeper timbre doesn’t do much to lessen the aquatic character of the scent, which by now are getting a bit annoying because the aquatics are even more synthetic that most aquatic notes. The base lowers the vibrations of the fragrance even more, and to the point where I feel the scent has finally settled into a comfortable feeling… the aquatic has finally given up, much to my relief. Light Blue Living Stromboli is pretty much an average aquatic. I don't have very high expectations for aquatics, so I'm going neutral on this one.
A modern and youthful in a simple, light blue bottle that denotes a sports fragrance.Light Blue Living Stromboli is a mix of cool water and Acqua di GIO for me.beautiful scent like the joy of living. Clean,Simple, Youngish,Interesting,Carefree,Summery and Light Hearted.
It has a sparkling start with citrus notes.which leads to a soft floral heart of geranium and a woody base notes of vetiver and amber.like most citrus fragrances,it fades after a couple of hours.it such a clean scent.
This is a Casual Everyday scent.Good for a normal taste and definitely for a young man.perfect for hot weather. anyway if you are looking for a nice aromatic everyday scent original LIGHT BLUE is a better choice.
Longevity?+3 hours on my skin.
You've smelled this before
I tested Living Stromboli today while I await Light Blue in the mail.
LB:LS is the epitome of aquatics, a scent you've smelled a dozen times before. It's Aquatic (TM).
That said, as a floral aquatic it's good at what it does: project a nice clean smell.
It's been discontinued, and there is no reason to pay a premium.
I'm intrigued to know what's awaiting me in the mail.
Pros: Smells nice
Cons: Smells like most aquatics, especially Aqua di Gio</p>

Dolce and Gabbana produces another classic scent... Lacks longevity...
Ok - I am a "sucker" for new designer fragrances... Living Stromboli was one of these purchases.. I am pleasantly surprised with the scent - I just wish it lasted longer.
Out of the bottle, Living Stomboli is a blend of fruit, citrus, aqua, and musk notes. It is very pleasant and easy on the nose. To me - it is very similar to the original Light Blue for Men - just more modest and toned down. The downside is that Living Stromboli lacks projection, sillage, and longevity. Following the initial application, Stomboli settles to skin level during the first hour. After that, it is detectable, but only faint. I do apply a spray to the cuff of my sleeve and while faint, was still present some four (4) hours later.
Stromboli is marketed as a Summer fragrance, but due to the blend of many notes, could be worn during any season and for any event. The packaging and bottle are first class designed - would you expect less from D&G..?? I am particularly fond of the clear glass bottle - you guys know I love those clear bottles to see the clarity of the fragrance.
The current online buy for Living Stromboli is still at a premium - mid $50s, but will begin to decline in the next few months.
Final tally for Dolce and Gabbana's Light Blue Living Stromboli is 4.2 stars out of 5 stars. It is a great scent, but needs to project and last longer. You never get a second chance to make a first impression - make it count...
Pros: Fantastic scent... Great blend of aqua, citrus, floral, and musk notes...
Cons: Questionable projection, sillage, and longevity...
Finally a well made flanker. Actually it reminds me of white sand beaches and hot sunny days somewhere in the Caribbean. Though reminiscent of Givenchy pour homme Blue Label this one reveals less synthetic, well accomplished citric-minty top notes. Longevity is a plus as this invigorating sparky scent can last for hours. Good job D&G!
Very impressive designer fragrance. I have only worn it once, but enjoyed it from start to finish. In a nutshell, I get a barber shop scent, reminiscent of Rive Gauche, but much more fresh. A noticeable rosemary note which isn't listed here on BN. I like it a lot.
So far it's just 'meh'.....yawn although it is an improvement on the horrifically sharp synthetic original!
Not a bad top note with the mild sweetness of the lychee being tampered by some citrus-aqua freshness that dries down nicely into a floral and artifical amber base. The scent is clearly very synthetic but pleasant and refreshing, albeit safe, nondescript and a bit boring. After thirty minutes it becomes very close to my skin, where it remains for another couple of hours.
Very cold aqua scent that reminds me of the 80's.
It has a good longevity but to me it lacks a bit in complexion.
