    Aoud 1 by Martine Micallef

Micallef's Aoud 1 (aka Bruckner Aoud 1) is the perfect trendy fragrance. It opens with a "sporty" blast of zingy-sweetish fruity notes including apple and something that immediately brings to mind of pineapple (Aventus anyone?). The fragrance turns, during the middle phase, into a moderately sweet woody vanilla with remarkably gourmandic facets to end up, in the drydown, smelling like a decent woody-oudy composition. It's sporty, gorumandic and oudy at the same time. Oh god!

Well blended, never too sweet or heavy yet, somewhat, moderately interesting. It's pervaded by a overall "generic designer" vibe throughout that's typical of many fo the Micallef's offering. In the end, Aoud 1 it's not bad at all but it's neither close to deserve the "cult fragrance" status it is currently getting in the fragrancesphere.
