Hommage a L'Homme opens with an almost plum-like resinous labdanum and violet floral tandem supported by allspice in the background coupling with a soft synthetic agar wood accord rising from the base before transitioning to its heart. In the early heart the labdanum-laced violet and agar wood remain, now complimenting an emerging black pepper that grows into the starring role as the all-spice slowly recedes over the scent's progression. Finally during the dry-down the starring pepper and supporting spice remnants dissipate as the still remaining agar wood and resinous floral duo now join a relatively clean musk from the base to finish off the scent's life cycle. Projection and longevity are both average.
