While on a camping trip this weekend I found a tree that had been wounded a couple years ago or more. It was dripping sap and resin heavily and I collected some of it. What I want to do is dissolve this resin in oil and use it in a lamp diffuser. From reading older basenotes posts I've decided the best thing to do is dissolve it in warm jojoba oil.
Before I do this does anyone have recommendations for the best % concentration or an oil that would be better to use?
I'm not sure the specific species of this tree but I think it was a pine.
Interesting question -- and one quite outside my knowledge. You might also post this question on the Do It Yourself thread, and contact redneck perfumisto as he is someone with technical knowledge in this area.
