With the recent restrictions on eugenol, more likely a thing of the past. I agree that the SMN is excellent.
Caron used to be famous for its mossy carnation base used in many perfumes (Larimar?). Of course, this base is nowhere to be found in the current lineup. I have a tiny quantity of vintage Bellodgia parfum (Bellodgia was supposed to be the grand carnation of Caron). The top is completely ruined, but the base is the creamiest carnation ever. I also have a vintageish Nuit de Noel, and even there, the intense carnation base is evident.
Caron just reintroduce yet another reformulation of Bellodgia, this time at least identified as a flanker (My bellodgia). I smelled in the store. The top was interesting and spicy, though not especially carnation like. I didn't smell the base, but I am not hopeful.
