Of those you listed, l have tried the Chanel, the Lauder & the Elizabeth Taylor.
l voted for the Lauder, as to me it is all about the radiant, true gardenia rather than tuberose. lt is my absolute favourite gardenia.
l used to own the Taylor one, but sold it because l began to find it rather synthetic & cloying after a while.
l used up a mini of the Chanel, but it was a pretty & fleeting jasmine-tuberose blend; not gardenia at all.
l'd like to give a special mention to VC&A's Gardenia Petale; a soft & creamy interpretation, & Yves Rocher's discontinued Pur Desir de Gardenia, which, although not long-lasting, is probably the truest gardenia of the many l've tried.
