What was your first scent?

    What was your first scent?

When I was 11, my godfather gifted me with a box set of Chaps aftershave and cologne - though I wouldn't need to shave at any regular intervals for at least two more years. The first cologne I picked out for myself was Xeryus, which is still my go-to scent when I can find it.

What was your first cologne, aftershave, or perfume? How old were you?

Old Spice and Pierre Cardin cologne around the age of sixteen. Hard to remember exactly.

Dior Poison, I was 4. Not age appropriate but I looooved it. I still have the bottle and it still smells amazing.

I think the first perfume I bought myself was either Joop or Chevignon at 7 years old.

I think it was the bottle of Jovan Grass Oil that I stole from a drug store when I was 8.

Circa 1985, My collection at that time would have been Chaps, Pierre Cardin, Polo, Stetson, Old Spice, English Leather.

I think English Leather was the first one of the batch. I recall it was a gift set of cologne / aftershave / soap.

First purchase if memory serves me was Pierre Cardin closely followed by Chaps.

Still have a glass bottle of Old Spice After Shave.

Euphoria CK at the age of 26. It was followed by a bottle of Jador Dior.

Probably Aqua di Gio or Abercrombie Fierce.

A bottle of L'Air Du Temps when I was 7 or 8. It was my paternal grandmother's favorite... I guess that's why my dad bought it for me. Of course it was way too sophisticated for my little nose.

The first fragrance I bought for my self was Coco around 13 or so.

I used to sneak little sprays or dabs of my mom's stuff a lot, my dad was not into scents much so he didn't have near the nice selection she had. I remember her dresser well. it held bottles of pretty smelling fluids,L'Air Du Temps, Chanel No 5, Chanel No 22, Chanel No 19, Nina Ricci, Shalimar, Y, (Y came a little later than my early childhood and became one of her favorites) Chantilly and Jungle Gardenia, ah it was a delight for sure. My Grandma's also held some nice little scents as well I only remember Tabu and Shalimar though My only solid memory of my Great Grandma was that she always smelled of either Lilacs, Lavender or violets and she always smelled so nice - anyway, enough history. My first scent that was bought FOR me was Tigress, then Woodhue, then some musk of some kind I can't remember and a grass oil and some lovely Cherry Blossom oil my dad picked up for me somewhere and then at 16 came the Eau Sauvage and 4711 from one of my Great Aunts and I have been "into" guys and unisex ever since. I do have a few "women's" but my collection leans heavily towards the "men's" scents. My aunt who gave me the Eau Sauvage and the 4711 is the person who put it into my head to wear what you like NOT who they market it to she didn't believe scents had gender.
