Cool, always up for a new one from Amouage.
The feeling I got from Christopher Chong in our most recent conversation (when he was here to launch Beloved Man), is that he is very open to exploring ideas with some new perfumers and seeing where that leads. I sense the same openness in Frederic Malle. Personally, I prefer this because there's an element of surprise and exploration going on in the work - who needs predictable launches when there are so many out there these days. The other thing to realise is that they are both mindful of the markets where their brands are kicking goals and if, at times, they choose to respond to that, well, good luck to them.
Now I've gotta find the Opus VII sample I misplaced somewhere before my last trip.
