I really think this is a matter of taste, because these houses are pretty different. Certainly none are objectively better than the others. Lutens is a weird house for me -- at one point or another I've owned full bottles or samples of most of the fragrances in the export line, and despite trying really hard to understand the appeal I haven't found a single one that I like. But that clearly is some personal reaction of mine -- perhaps it's the standard Lutens stewed fruit base? I have the opposite problem with MFK: the scents in that line are all well-enough made but reflect Kurkdjian's taste in mainstream perfumery. They're just not odd/unique enough for me. Amouage hits a sweet spot between strange and wearable that works very well for me, personally. I'm biased, though, because they're probably my favorite house overall.
