I have a question about making a lavender soliflore.
I've never made a fragrance before. I just got a bottle of Perfumers Workshop Tea Rose and I am very happy with the fragrance. I was wondering if it would be worth making my own, but with lavender oil. I would mix it with a carrier oil instead of alcohol since ordering perfumers alcohol seems somewhat difficult and I can't fine 180-190 proof everclear.
My question is, is this worth doing? Does lavender oil have decent longevity? I'm not expecting it to be like patchouli or cedarwood, but will it last long, or dissipate like a citrus oil? Or would I just be better off buying a commercial lavender based fragrance?
Thanks for any info!
