Just got it in the mail and really like this stuff!!

Anyone have any other suggestions of anything close to it ( excluding OV) ? I like that fresh "Barber Shop" scent.

    Gendarme gendarme, vetiver hombre

TDC Tokyo Bloom is quite similar in terms of composition, but it has more of a fresh herby vibe from the basil and dandelion. Almost like you rubbed the leaves between your fingers until the green juice came out... A very nice fragrance, like Mugler Cologne, but upping the complexity/greenness...

Bergamotto Marino is a wonderful, cheap alternative. The ultimate 'Barber Shop' for me is Rive Gauche. John Varvatos (original) is also great!!

Thanks guys, do any of these suggeestions last longer? I noticed MC is great to put on when i get out of the shower... but them 30 min later it's gone

MC can be deceptive, it tends to resurface later. All the ones I mentioned last well for me and I have really bad performing skin.

A bit more complex but revolves around a Vetiver base : Esprit du Roi - Penhaligon's

I personally really enjoy MC but yea it isn't a powerhouse sadly. Very different to me.

    Basil prominent IMO.

Another recommendation for Rive Gauche- yes, some barbershop style notes it, but not excessively so. After a while, the notes of citrus, wood and even fresh, airy (in a positive, pleasant way) translucent spiciness (if there is everything close to it) become the most perceptible.

Mugler Cologne is in my top 5 all time. Love this fresh energizing juice. Luckily I get great longevity from this MC.

For a barbershop vibe of course the king of old school barbershop fragrances

Moved to my top 5 for summer instantly! Got it last week, cannot stop wearing it. I went immediately to ebay and lost an auction and some lucky guy got a 3/4 full 10oz (yes they make a 10oz size!) for $25 shipped! Still pretty happy i got one for $16 with about 2.5 oz and had a spray top instead of splash top only.

incredible how versatile it is and not bland and boring either. has just enough to make it special. Also great for when you dont know what to wear. I give it a 10/10 for filling its purpose exactly.

Wow, not at all for me! I can smell it easily 6 hours in.
