Which one do you like better ?.
I really like them both.
jasonx, you said Avignon is quieter and Full Incense is loud. I get a similar experience, but for me it's like this:
Both smell very much alike, but Avignon is sweeter and comes across a little softer; Full Incense is less sweet and comes across sharper.
I don't get any amplification from the Montale either -- I find them to be largely the same in that department. Both are indeed fantastic incense fragrances.
Quite different. Both CdG and Montale are quite sharp, whereas the Sahara Noir has been polished down to a very easy to wear frankincense-dominant scent. The TF is more complex, and it's fairly dry, but there's more going on in it than the other two. Sorry, this is probably clear as mud.
I like all three, but the TF stands out as doing something a bit different.
I haven't tried the Montale, but SN, compared to Avignon, is much louder and less subtle. To make an Orthodox Church comparison, SN is standing in the aisle and the priest waves the censer right in your face. Avignon is sitting in the church after the service is over and everyone is gone. The cold of the stone walls is reasserting itself but the incense still hangs in the air. I like both of them very much indeed.
