Look what arrived today. The gorgeous, mysterious Styx, an early Coty. First impression - this is a lovely, lovely creation. Considering it was released in 1912, isn't it wonderful that one can wear a perfume that is over a century old.

This is a lyrical, radiant perfume, as pretty a feminine creation as I've tried. With such a dark name, the river which divides earth and the underworld or hell, I had expected a dark perfume. Not at all. This is lovely.

From my research the notes for this are:

Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Carnation, Galbanum:

Violet, Orris, Incense;

Amber, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Musk, Vanilla,Woods, Oakmoss.

So, fellow Coty lovers, I'd love to hear your views on this one.
