I've been using amazon for most of my recent purchases and i've had no bad experiences although a couple fragrances I want aren't carried by them. What are your reputable sources you buy from?

When looking for current niche and limited distribution small designer releases online I deal near exclusively with LuckyScent.com and definitely join others in recommending them. For designers and discontinued releases it is "anything goes".

While I love Luckyscent for next day shipping and their variety, First in Fragrances is much cheaper if you live in the States than Luckyscent for niche and they have a much better variety along with free shipping over 450 Euros. Packages arrive in 5 days to my location and they are extraordinarily generous with samples which my friends are happy to receive.

While I agree with most of what you posted, the two times I purchased large enough orders for free freight, they did not arrive in five days, they arrived in 30 plus days both times. In order to reach $450€ takes multiple perfumes, and the generously sent me three whole samples.

Maybe because you are a large volume purchaser, they may treat you differently.

That's very surprising to hear what you say. I usually place my orders on a Sunday night late EST, and have not received them later than the following Saturday. Don't know for sure, but perhaps this is because I live in a city that is very close to an airport hub for flights non stop from Frankfurt and a major US inbound customs freight hub. I have never placed an order with them for less than what's required for the free shipping rate and as far as samples go, I can't explain why I receive so many. They have literally given me as many as 30 in one shipment and not only the tube vials. In the last shipment, they sent me 8 mini bottles of Mona di Orio (don't know the ml size) along with umpteen tube vials. I don't make any sample requests. They just include them with my orders.

    EBAY mainly

Luckyscent for sure. The longest I've waited was two weeks, I believe I'm in a 4 day UPS zone from Cali...being in Chicago. The two week shipping time was due to a delay in shipment from Comme des Garcons with their new BLACK EDT. This information was relayed to me quite quickly, they asked me what samples I'd like as an offering for the delay. I've never received any large samples, usually the standard 1ml and I receive 3...Still highly recommend Luckyscent. eBay is my source for discontinued stuff...just approach with caution.

I've had great success with Luckyscent as well.

eBay. Only dead with sellers of rating of 99.5% or above. Best deals and authentic.can return if you don't like. Very legit
    post #14 of 16

For vintage finds, Ebay and Etsy. But I'm cautious. I ask a lot of questions and ensure there is a return policy.

I must also put a plug in for EBAY...you hear alot of bashing on BN but I have only had one bad experience in 13 years, I got a bottle of A*Men that had Angel Woman in it...Got my refund no problem, and PayPal will make sure you get a refund if the seller is a real scammer. I tend to look for "Used" hard to find stuff, Most is like 95% full, someone blind bought and didn't like, and are selling it for 75% less than Retail. Some great deals. I got my Aventus on EBAY, picked exactly which batch I got b/c the sellers on EBAY list the batch numbers. No one is going to go through the trouble of selling fakes then sell it as used. The real Fakes you need to look out for are the street sellers. I have seen more actual complaints about fakes on Amazon where the feedback system sucks, than on EBAY. IF you buy from Amazon, only buy from them, and not some person selling their own stuff on Amazon.

Also have to say I have been lucky with my Ebay dealings also. I know there are horror stories out there, but I have yet to count myself as one of there casualties
