    Morning Everyone,

It's been a stunning week here in London weather-wise and long may it continue !

Yesterday I came across this great amateur film of New York, shot in 1939. The tenuous perfume link comes at 1:40

    Acqua di Parma Colonia.

    Have a great Thursday !

Tried a couple of drops of Coco M pure parfum, thanks to a lovely BNer. It's very nice, the best of the Coco M versions. Though, so costly, don't think I will be getting any anytime soon. I find the pure parfum to be fruitier, in a very good way.. the fume is smoother, less sharp/harsh as the other verisons, like EDT/EDP. Basically, it has more facets..and they are all lovely. Compared to the EDT which I like quite a bit, there's no comparison, this is much better and better than the EDP. I haven't tried the L'extrait, which I would like to do.

    Adolfo Dominguez this morning.

Thanks for the film gandhajala. We lived in the Buchanan Apartments, in a small apartment on 3rd floor at the SE corner of East 48th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan not too long after that film was shot. I remember as a child looking out our windows at the Elevated Train as it slowed to a stop there to drop off and pick up passengers. From those same windows, looking East past the Railroadman's YMCA building, I was able to see a bit of the UN building as it was constructed post WWII. I went to school at St. Agnes, on East 58th Street if my memory serves me correctly.

So long ago in a world that has changed so much...

Oh what a wonderful film, Gandhajala, thank you! I used to work directly across the street from Rockefeller Center and spent many a lunch hour browsing the shop windows or stopping in to St Patrick's Cathedral for the cool and quiet. Great times, great memories. kiss.gif

Chopard Casmir for me today, best to all.
