    Hey guys,

I'm in the process of buying a fragrance or two and would appreciate your input on what I'm missing in my collection. Also, you can take into consideration the fact that it's summer, I probably won't buy one that I can't wear during.

I am thinking about getting maybe one of the Dior or Chanel exclusives... Sycomore, Coromandel... Vetiver (leaning towards it because it's being discontinued)... not sure.

You can suggest whatever you think is lacking in my collection, doesn't have to be Dior or Chanel at all.

    Thanks

Here's my collection as per my signature

     - Creed Aventus

     - Creed Himalaya

     - Creed Royal Oud

     - MFK's Lumiere Noire pour Homme

     - Dior Homme Intense

     - Dior Homme Sport

     - Dyptique Phylosikos

     - Calvin Klein Euphoria Intense

     - YSL's La Nuit de L'homme

Yes, a good vetiver would fit nicely into your collection. Dior Vetiver is simply incredible, Sycomore isn't far behind IMO. I do find the Dior more versatile as the Chanel is more smoky and some argue that a Sycomore-like fragrance can be had for less with Lalique Encre Noire. If you're looking for a cheaper vetiver fragrance than both the Dior and Chanel, I'd take a look at Comme des Garcons Vettiveru

I'd have to say Un Jardin Sur le Nil by Hermes for sure.  Awesome juice that really activates in the heat.  Compliment factor is through the roof!

By the way, great list in your collection for sure.

    Thanks guys...

I'll check out Vetiver, Granville, and Un Jardin sur le Nil!

@Tony T: Yep thought about that for a little bit. But I had Pure Malt just recently finished my bottle. Might look into Pure Havane, or just buy them both after summer.

If you have more suggestions, keep them coming ;) I'm probably going this weekend, so a couple more days before I pull the trigger

    Vetiver or Gourmand

^^ As a gourmand... was thinking about 1725 by HdP... but it would have to be  a blind buy... don't know where I can smell it around here (DC)

Don't know if I should wait a little more and get Invasion Barbare, or just go with 1725, most people say they're very similar. (1725 being much cheaper)

Or is it considered a gourmand??

IF you are willing to take a jaunt up to NYC, you can sample it at MiN NY. I've tried it out and its defintely not in the gourmand category. Sweet, yes, spicy, yes, powdery, absolutely, but not to the effect of being "edible". If you're looking for a gourmand, look elsewhere as this isn't even in the same ballpark really. The sweet, spicy aspect is very well done, but it gets quite powdery in the drydown which kills it for me.

^^Not really willing to go all the way to NY to sample it. But i'm ok with it not being a gourmand. It sounds nice, and i don't have that kind of fragrance in my collection, that's why i was thinking about it.

Ended up pulling the trigger on a 4.25 oz bottle of Vetiver. The reason it's being discontinued made it a little prioritized over the others. But I'm going to buy one of the suggested fragrances here for sure. Granville and Jardin sur Le N
