Ok so I'm going to Denver this weekend for a couple of weeks. From what I understand they have tons of places to buy fragrance compared to where I live. I'm wanting to add something different to my wardrobe and I have a few in mind. What's your opinions and why?

    I have:
    TdH
    Dior Homme Sport
    Chanel Platinum Egoiste
    Clinique Happy
    Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense
    Pure Havane by Thierry Mugler
    Givenchy Play Intense
    1 Million
    Versace Pour Homme
    L'Homme by YSL
    Hugo Boss
    Spice Bomb

    What I'm considering :
HM by Hanae Mori (EDP or EDT?)
Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef and Arpels
Encre Niore pour Homme by Lalique
    LIDGE
    Original Vetiver by Guerlain
    Le Male
    Vera Wang

Of course any suggestions not listed are welcome. Except DHI. It didn't work well for me.

All the ones that you are "looking at" IMO with the exception of the Vera Wang are wonderful scents and would be worthy buys.

I sampled both HM fragrances and I really couldn't decide. I am curious about longevity with these.

Based on your current likes, I suggest you try all or some of these:

Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme

    Chanel Bleu de Chanel

Gucci pour Homme II (if you can still find it on the shelves)

    Cartier Roadster Sport

Lalique Encre Noire is nice, but I'm not sure if you'll enjoy it much based on your current collection. You should at the very least try it and formulate your own opinion.

Have fun in Denver, it's quite a beautiful little city. Don't spend too much time in the shops, there's beautiful landscape to be seen laugh.gif

I don't remember a huge perfume selection in Denver, but they do have a few high end department stores, and a Hermes store.

In your list, do you mean Guerlain Vetiver, or Original Vetiver by Creed? In any case, the Guerlain is certainly worth checking.

You can also check the Hermes perfumes, since you're there. The store will have the expensive Hermessences, they tend to be rather smooth and light, things like Vetiver tonka or Vanille Galante. Perhaps it will also have the regular collection, which include the interesting Eau d'Hermes (cumin cologne).

Definitely try the Hermes as suggested by Cacio.

Giving a serious look to the Hermes line mentioned above is definitely worth it.

The only on of your suggestions I'd buy is the one I own which is Encre. The others are basenotes perennials so o say sample them if you get a chance so you can be conversant with the rest of the scenterati.

HM by Hanae Mori (EDP or EDT?)

    great, esp considering the price

Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef and Arpels

hate it or love it, depending on how feminine and powdery you want your fragrances

Encre Niore pour Homme by Lalique

very nice, tho not versatile enough for a full bottle - get a decant

    Le Male

    for sure

HM is one of the few scents that choked me.

Le male is OK if you can handle the sweetness: think Burberry Brit.

Where can I get LIDGE? The only places I can find it are eBay which I do not trust and a site called strawberrynet. Pretty sure this is what I'm buying and I don't want to get ripped off.

Should I just call a Guerlain Boutique?

If you go to Denver, some of the big department stores could have it (usually places like Neiman's or Saks tend to have a larger Guerlain selection). You probably want to call them in advance to check, though.
