A Sleeper Fragrance from a Dollar Tree store!

A Sleeper Fragrance from a Dollar Tree store!

I bought one of the best fragrances I have ever used at a Dollar Tree store. The fragrance is from a company called Breathing Space and the cologne is called Melon Honeysuckle Body Splash. READ ON; IT IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK! This fragrance does not smell at all like melon or honeysuckle in any way. I dislike most fruit fragrances, so when I smelled this one, I was surprised. This one smells actually like a poignant, dewdrop-infused, very dark and deep aldehydic rose. And it is NOT powdery, for a change! Though it does NOT smell like the original Evening in Paris, it gives me the same retro, dressed-up-and-going-outto-dinner-on-a-rainy-summer-evening feeling I used to get from Evening in Paris. Although this new dollar store fragrance is soft, rosy, and soapy clean, this fragrance is really a sophisticated and understated evening fragrance. I keep this fragrance next to my bottles of Chanel 5 and Joy, and I find it is just as important a fragrance as those two. For people who do not like the heavy tobacco or woody notes of todays overly powdery, indefinable mélanges, they might like this one. There is also a matching body butter and bath salt. I bought the entire set and have never regretted itor the great price. This fragrance is a sleeper, an accidental classic few people know about, and it is just one dollar. It really ought to be named something like Rose Bijou. [/FONT]

Melon Honeysuckle smells like rose? Well, you know what they say. . . a rose by any other name. Welcome to Basenotes! 'Hope to see your reviews of other fragrances as well!

I got some "body butter" stuff from the Dollar Tree, it was made in China, the company is Greenbrier Industries, the label says "Lily Cotton Blossom."

Your post caught my eye because I was extremely surprised when I opened my $1 "body butter," and was met by such a delightful rosy fragrance that I was so not expecting!

You have described it much better than I could.

The product itself does not even remotely resemble body butter, it is, however, a very serviceable hand cream. Now that I did expect!

But the fragrance is certainly superior to other hand creams I could have paid many dollars for at the drugstore!
