Just picked up a 1/4 tola bottle of Khaltat al shaikh abdulla (KASA) by Hind Al Oud.
Hind Al Oud is a new fragrance house from the UAE. By new I mean within the past 10 years. It is owned by Mohamed Hilal who is a perfumer and designer. He also has designed fragrances for Anfasak Dokhoun and Khaltat Hob.
This was recomended to me by a co worker who thought my Saif Al Hind by Ajmal was too "old man"
Its important to note that saif al hind is a mid quality pure indian oud oil, and so has a very strong smell which lasts for hours.
KASA on the other hand is a blend of (what I smell as) cambodian oud, sandle wood, amber, musk, citrus, and "smokey leather"
Because of this, the comparison was wrong to begin with, but to humor my co worker I have given this oil a try.
It is not in your face like a pure indian oud nor is it as refined as say, an indian combodian blend like rabie al omr by Ajmal.
It lasts, but only for a bit, an hour or so, and even then it is a "low key" type of oil as apposed to a mukhalat such as mukhalat oud moattaq or mukhalat al tharwan by Ajmal or the various cambodian oud based mykhalats by al jazeera perfumes.
All in all an interesting scent made for a younger crowd im sure (im 35) and not really what I prefer. At roughly 120 USD for a 3ml bottle, its on the lower end of the mid priced mukhalats for a blend that I personally believe is a low quality product.
The box, packaging, and black and crystal bottle are nice though.
