Good news to Le Labo fans (like me). I emailed them about their city exclusives and here's their reply:

…know that we will organize a special event in September during which the city exclusive collection will be available in all our locations and online for a month and a half!
You will be able to purchase samples of our city exclusive collection online and in our stores starting August 1st, and the full size bottles will be available on September 1st.

    Cheers!

I'm curious to try the London and Tokyo exclusives, but I keep striking out with the line. I liked the Patch but that's it so far.

Good occasion to try them again. I prefer the regular line, but Elena at perfumeshrine loves Gaiac (Tokyo).

Which scent(s) will you guys be buying?

I already have Gaiac 10 and Tubereuse 40 (both blind buy with help from friends; Gaiac 10 is wonderful and Tubereuse is interesting, but not spectacular). I  have also tried some samples of Poivre  23 (dry down is excellent) and Limette 37 (kind of meh). I am definitely getting Aldehyde 44 because you can't buy it anywhere now, and seriously considering either Vanille 44, Baie Rose 26 or Musc 25.

Can anyone tell me more about Baie Rose 26 and Musc 25?

I'm interested in Gaiac and Poivre, but more just to try them than buy to be honest. I have tried Musc 25 and it's just a very dry, synthetic smelling musk. It did nothing for me, but to be frank, I'm not a huge fan of the line so far.

Le Labo is my first niche house and I like them like a fan who loves his sports team despite it has only a few home runs. I think to me, Byredo is like Le Labo to you - I only like two scents from them so far. The rest smell very diluted to me somehow.

Yeah, I totally get why people like the line. We just haven't connected on a personal level. The Patch surprised me, though.

To me, the Musk is a fun clean musk with dirty hints. It's still safely clean, but it hints at some of the complexity that musk molecules can have. Still, it seems too expensive. I don't remember Baie Rose, or better, I remember it didn't make an impression, but forget the details.

Poivre is very good but its kinda similar to Patchouli, and the patch is more interesting and stronger too.

Vanille is a very good clean sweet and milky vanilla, soft warm and pretty, it doesnt project very much but lasts for a long time, though.

Baie Rose is wonderful, just wonderful. Pimento berry and rose bomb, very tenacious and vivid. It also contains lot of cloves.

Baie Rose is suddenly getting a lot of positive attention and love recently from Youtube perfume reviewers. So I am definitely getting a bottle.

I bought a sample bottle of Poivre from an eBayer, The pepper top note is very strong but the vanilla heartnote/basenote is very lovely. I will wear it more when fall/winter comes.

I also saw a female perfume reviewer on Youtube go gaga over Vanille, sometimes I wonder if women tends to prefer gourmet scents.

By the way, yesterday I wore Gaiac 10 to work and a coworker (guy) walked into my cubicle area said, "wow it smells so fresh and clean here!"

Poivre is good but I recommend you to try Patchouli and check wich one you prefer.

Vanille is very delicate, I can see a woman prefering it on her, but a man could put it on easily.

The Gaiac one, on me, its a shame. I cant smell almost anything, even with 12 sprays, except a very light green freshness, for some time. My girlfriend couldnt smell much out of it too.
