Basenotes crashing in Chrome -?

    Basenotes crashing in Chrome -?

    Thread Starter

For the past three days suddenly I'm finding that the site crashes whenever I try to view it in my Chrome browser (on a MacBook). Anyone else have this problem?

    Any advice would be welcome!

Sorry, I refuse to install Chrome, although my daughter tells me that many users amongst her friends experience frequent crashes with it elsewhere.

Using Safari or Firefox on an MBP works for me everywhere that I visit.

I use Chrome and I've not had any problems with crashes here or elsewhere. I don't however use a MacBook.

I have these crashes as well, and I think it might be some of the flash ads that cause the crashes.

Edit: I am on a 2012 MacBook Pro.

I alternate between Firefox and Chrome and have had no issues to speak of.

Chrome 'help' seem to have some fixes for those affected.

It has become so bad in my case, that I cannot access Basenotes from my MBP anymore.
I only have this problem with Basenotes.

It works fine on Safari or Firefox on my MBP, but I don't use Chrome.

Could it be a setting causing the problem on yours?

It used to work in Chrome on my MBP, even after the change to Huddler, but perhaps there has been a later change to BN.
It might be caused by the built-in flash player in Chrome? Guess I will have to use FF for BN for now.

Flash player issues would be my guess too :)

I think that Firefox is more amenable to Basenotes website than Chrome for many.

Accidentally went to Basenotes on Chrome instead of Firefox, and discovered that the crashes have stopped. The issue must have been fixed smile.gif
