Two great scents and very similar.
These are two of my favorite ambers. I went with both, but if I were to choose a full bottle, I think right now it would be Ambre Russe. I bit tempormental on my skin, but has a nice masculine accord and vibe that feels more versatile than Amber Sultan ( which is a great scent in its own right). I think the Lutens is a bit too much for day to day usage and more spice up top which may better suite it to special occasisions.
Yeah, I was going to say that Russe doesn't strike me as feminine whatsoever -- it's one of the more referential ambers out there (alongside 114). Dior's Ambre Nuit and Ambre Narguile are more . . . well, feminine's not the right term . . . more opulent and rich.
