Eau Sauvage EDP is an okay scent, but I recently sampled it at Sephora, and it's Summer. I tried two sprays on my arm, walked outdoors and the scent hits you in the face like a public phone book.
If I had it to describe it, I'd call it "buttery" and bitter, and I have to say, it made me slightly nauseous; it's very dense and difficult, almost like trying to breathe during a foggy, humid day where the humidity sticks to your skin.
Or like trying to get through the Etymology chapters in Moby Dick.
This is definitely a cold weather only fragrance. Even one spray can be pushing it during the warm weather.
On the other hand, I own GV, recently wore to a friend's wedding, outdoors overlooking a golf course. Works great in this climate (NY Summer), for this type of occasion.
